Re: Hotel Garden Elysee

Very well located – just off Avenue Kleber and within easy reach of everything by Metro. The room was small but clean and had an excellent shower. The public areas although small are nevertheless well laid out and beautifully decorated. The breakfast was particularly good. Probably the feature of the hotel that was most notable was the fact that the staff there were extremely pleasant and obliging and provided a very efficient service all round.

Room Tip: End of corridor rooms seem slightly larger.

We have just returned from a four night stay at the Garden Elysee and were very happy with our choice of hotel. The hotel is set back off the road and you enter through a small courtyard. The reception staff were very friendly and welcoming. Our room was on the 3rd floor at the front of the hotel. The room itself was very nice, not huge, but clean and modern and very comfortable. The only negative here was the noise early in the morning. Although the hotel is set back from the road, the early morning noise of deliveries, street cleaners and bin men was quite loud and woke me up three out of four nights/mornings. So it might be worth asking for a room at the back of the hotel.
The breakfast staff were again, very friendly and helpful, the food was lovely and plentiful. The best scrambled eggs I've ever tasted!! There is a garden area next to the dining area with tables and ashtrays so if you smoke this is very handy for you.
The location of the hotel is perfect for the main sights of Paris, within easy walking distance of the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe and Champs Elysee. Also plenty of metro stations within walking distance.
Local restaurants vary in quality, I would advise doing a search for restaurants close to Rue St Didier and checking out the reviews.

Room Tip: Request a room at the back to avoid early morning noise.

We stayed here before and after the Paris marathon which I was running. It was an excellent place to stay. An ideal location to the start line, very close to the metro (and marathon registration) and the staff were so helpful. On the day of the marathon the staff member on duty at 5am even let me use the toaster at very early hours! Our room was clean and very well kept. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast provided was very fresh and well stocked! Our stay couldn't have been better- thank you!

Very clean and well managed hotel, the staff were very helpful with directions in Paris and helped get our iPad connected to the Internet via wifi. Had a wonderful fresh breakfast offering lots of choice that kept us full for hours.
Close to many of the main tourist attractions in Paris and a short walk from the Metro.
Will definitely use this hotel again.

We arrived late afternoon, the hotel is nestled away in the heart of Paris, and is lovely from the moment you step in. The staff are all Brilliant. In the two nights we stayed there, there was probably 8 different staff members on the frontdesk and they all spoke perfect English and went above and beyond to help us in anyway.

They start by pointing out on the map where to go and how to get there. They also advise on the best restaurants in the area. We also took a picture of a local restaurant menu and asked if they could translate for us, which they were more than happy to do.

The Room was much bigger than i was expecting, extremely clean and modern. A huge 40" TV and a beautiful bathroom.

The location is perfect, only 10 minute walk to Eiffel Tower, but the hotel is also very quiet from street noise. I would reccomend this hotel to anyone and can't wait to visit again.

We had a lovely time in Paris this past week and that was largely because of the wonderful hotel we stayed in. The room was immaculate and was cleaned for us everyday. In a great neighborhood not unlike the Upper Eastside in NYC, the hotel was close to the Eiffel Tower and the Champs Elysee but far away enough from the hub bub so that we could get a good night's sleep.
When we arrived the concierge was most gracious and allowed us into our room very early. We were able to nap and then go out sight seeing. We had a wonderful luncheon in a neighborhood creperie on the way to the Eiffel tower. Because we had rested, we were even able to walk all the way to the Hotel des Invalides and tour it on our first day! The grocery store two doors down from the hotel is a major plus. The room had lots of nice touches such as a live orchid in the bathroom! Slippers and bathrobes and a large enough jr. suite for the three of us to dwell in comfortably for 6 days. The staff was excellent. The Concierges spoke English well and were very helpful and accomodating. My only reservation was the mattress was a little weak. Otherwise this is a great bargain in a beautiful and historic city! P.S. It's very close to the metro.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Jr. Suite which was perfect for three, adult-sized people.

The guy on the front desk was friendly and professional. He gave us a map without having to ask for one and explained how to get to nearby sightseeing spots. The location of the hotel is excellent. It's slap bang between the Eiffel Tower and Arc du Triumph and about a 10 minute walk to either. The room was a decent size and set back from the street so quiet. The bed was firm and shower/bath excellent. Only downsides were thin walls between rooms and no tea making facilities in room but these didn't bother us as only stayed one night. Would definitely go back.

Room Tip: Some rooms are near the lift so can be noisy.
