Hotel is just near the metro station (grand boulvard). It's a little hard to sleep because of the street noise. Wi-fi is not free. Every thing was clean. We stayed in a double room, it was not wide enough to stat more than 2 nights.

I have avoided the HI chain since a week at their perfectly appalling Montpellier branch, but the Auteuil branch has gone a long way to restoring my opinion of them. It's not really in Auteuil, being on top of the Porte de Saint Cloud roundabout, but it's only three stops along the metro, so close enough. Being a fairly up-market and business district, there aren't too many hotels and those that are mostly either expensive or poor. At Eu135 per night, the HI isn't exactly cheap, but it's a good price for the area. The quality of the accommodations is good - the room was quiet, with free WiFi, a hot shower with plenty of hot water and a comfortable bed - and the staff were friendly and helpful.

I didn't try the breakfast as it seemed rather expensive at Eu15, and the bar next door (Les Fontaines, I think?) offered a convivial traditional French one for about Eu8.

Very recommendable.

Room Tip: I would guess that rooms facing the traffic of Av. de Versailles could be a bit noisy - my room at t...

The hotel is comfortable and clean. Simple with all the neccessities, TV, Bed,and wireless connection. The lightning is good but the placement of the bathroom mirror is too far for me. Perhaps it is for a much taller person, I am 5'2" and the mirror felt too far where I cannot have a close up look. It is not the height of the mirror, it is just the distance. There is full lenght mirror inside the room but no lighting above the mirror. The hotel is conveniently located near the metro.
Breakfast for $15 Euro at the hotel if you want but there's a great bakery around the corner that opens daily at 6:15am. It has wonderful croisant and sandwiches...along with other goodies!!! The bread is excellent! There is also
a local supermarket next to the bakery where you can pick up water or other soft drinks. The staffs are very friendly and helpful, which is a plus. The neigbhohood is wonderful!!! There are many restaurants near by with easy access to the local grocery, supermarkets and specialty shops such as cheese shop and butchers. The vegetable and meat at the butcher looked so fresh, I almost wish I had a kitchen at the hotel so I can shop like the local and cook on my own!
The only minor draw back is the location of this hotel. It is kind of far from the center of Paris. It is in district 16 and depending where you are heading to,it can take 30min to 45min to your destination. The metro line is #9 so you will
always need to connect to 1 or 2 other lines to get to your destination. On the plus side the Paris metro schedule seems to be more frequent during the day(unlike NY's subway where only during rush hours we will have train every
5 min). Note on the metro: the stop to the hotel is Point St Cloud, exit #4 R. Gudin. You will see the bakery and when you continue to the left side, you will see a deli then a supermarket and the hotel is only within few steps away.
Taxi ride from CDG airport to the hotel is $60 EURO. The hotel booked a car for us to return the airport for $25 EURO per person. I think there is some misunderstanding in regards to this service, this sounded like the rate is per person and there were two of us, so I clarifed with the front desk if it was a total of $50 EURO to the airport and the hotel staff confirmed. It turned out that the car was actually a taxi with a meter, so the cost is really up to the meter rate. Just to to point this out for future reference. Overall, I really enjoy my stay at this hotel!

Room Tip: Our room on the 3rd was facing the inside overlooking other buildings. Not much of a view but quiet...

As with all Holiday Inns, the rooms here are simple and functional. Bed, TV, desk area with coffee/ tea making facilities and en suite bath and/ or shower. For some reason still unknown to us, we could not get a family room (4 of us) so had 2 doubles with a connecting door which was ideal. We only stayed for one night and found the beds comfortable and choice of firm/ soft pillows excellent. The receptionists spoke perfect English (better than our French annoyingly!) and were very helpful. Parking could be a challenge but we were very fortunate to get one of only a dozen or so roadside spaces right outside the hotel, with the added bonus that throughout August parking is free! There are car parks quite nearby so dropping off luggage/ children then parking would work. We didn't partake of breakfast but this looked to be a fairly standard european offering- croissants, cereals, fruit salad, meats, cheese etc. There are some great restaurants nearby and prices are OK- remember this is Paris and only just outside the city centre! Oh, and McDonalds is just across the road too- they get everywhere don't they?! Overall, pretty good.

This is a hidden gem of Paris hotels. Business or vacation, this is an excellent choice.

The entire hotel was recently renovated and the rooms, furnishings and and lobby are all brand-new. The rooms are European scale; the less-expensive rooms are very efficient on space. The larger rooms, including the two suites on the top floor offer much more space.

The multilingual staff at the front desk are absolutely suburb. They can offer suggestions of how to get around Paris or steer you towards good local restaurants.

The location is perfect. You are at the edge of Paris (which is why the rooms are more affordable than a city center hotel) but the front door is only steps away from a Metro stop; you can be at the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, the Louvre or your business meeting in a matter of minutes. If you want to travel above ground, the nearby Porte de Saint-Cloud is a hub for a number of bus lines.

It is also walking distance to Parc de Princes (Paris Saint Germain's home stadium), Stade Pierre de Coubertin (hosts the occasional indoor tennis matches and other sports as well) and Roland Garros (think: French Open).

The major street in front of the hotel (Ave. de Versailles) turns in a street market twice a week, which shouldn't be missed if you haven't been to one. Since the hotel is on a side street, noise in the rooms from the market or traffic is close to zero.

The hotel is close to bistros, brasseries and restaurants that range from McDonalds to A & M (Boulevard Murat; make a reservation and go, you won't be disappointed).

With all the positive things about this hotel, there are two things that you should not expect: Don't expect a great selection in TV stations; there are a number available but the non-French-language options are limited. Also don’t expect free internet or blazing fast bandwidth; like many hotels in Paris, cable channels, internet speed and internet cost are not the reasons to stay here – but everything else is about this hotel is exactly why you should.

Room Tip: Upper floor rooms facing the street might have a view of the Eiffel Tower; 7th floor suites (room 71...

I stayed in Holiday-Inn Auteuil for 2 nights in July. It was a surprising and happy experience. The hotel has a modern, clean and confortable room. The room also has coffee and tea making facilities and plama TV. The bed is good and soft with good pillows. The neighborhood has supermarkets, pharmacy, Mcdonalds, Patissieries and Metro Station is only 200 meters away. The staff members are really nice and helpful with directions. I'd recommend and probably I'll come back!

Stayed here for 5 nights in June. Chose this hotel due to Brand, proximity to Metro and proximity to Roland Garros. My husband was working so needed a business shirt dry cleaned. They offered a same day service yet when he went to collect it the next evening was told it would not be back until the NEXT evening, too late for him! Their regular laundry had let them down so they let us down. The worst part was the lack of communication - they did not advise us, we found out when he went to collect the shirt. And the appalling attitude of the receptionist who could not see why this may have been an issue. Really disappointing. The room itself is very small but modern, clean and functional. The bathroom is actually a waste of space, too large for the room. WiFi was free and functional. Breakfast was fine. If I were to go to Roland Garros again I would consider staying here but it is a long Metro ride out. Couldn't find the decent restaurants that others have spoken about BUT the bakery on the corner was DIVINE !! As usual, one poorly trained or ignorant staff member can sour the impression you are left with, and make you look elsewhere in future when it really wasn't necessary.
