My friends and I stayed at The Eiffel Saint Charles hotel for 3 nights, and we absolutely loved it! first of all we had a view to the Eiffel tower from the room which was really nice, the metro station was really close so it was very easy to travel all over the city, the room was really clean and nice, the bed was comfortable, and the staff at the reception were nice and halpful. we even used the room service one night when we didnt want to leave the room and it was also good.
highly recommended for a stay in Paris!

Room Tip: ask for a room with a view to the Eiffel tower

Me and my husband stayed at Paris nearly a week and this hotel was the best choice for us. We arrived before noon and our room was allready ready which was a welcome surprice after travelling many hours. Our room was very clean but quite small, but that is the case in every big city. The hotel staff was very helpful: we got good advice and tips for sightseeing and public transport connections. The hotel has an excellent location: short distance to several metrostations to reach all over Paris, short walking distance to Eiffel Tower and a rapid public transport connection to Orly airport. Near the hotel there is several places to eat and drink, shops and cafes. Still the area is really nice and quiet, no traffic or other noice. Also we ordered from room service which was good after a long day of sightseeing. We had absolutely nothing to complain.

We are a 30s couple and travelled with our 18 month old. We arrived on Eurostar and thanks to the reviewer below who mentioned it, caught the 42 bus from Gare du Nord to the hotel. It was a lovely sightseeing route and there was no problem getting the buggy on the bus, which was mostly empty. The 42 does get busier at rush hour and was quite full even late at night but we would only have found it difficult to get onto with the buggy during normal evening rush hour (4-6pm). We got off at the Dupleix stop and walked for 5 mins to the hotel up Rue St Charles. Going in the other direction towards Gare du Nord the bus stop is actually right by the hotel, as there is a one-way system for traffic.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The reception area is smart and appeared to be recently refurbished. It looked very much a "business" hotel without being too sterile. The neighbourhood is much like suburban London, young-family and older people, mostly residential with some shops. It is quiet but lively on a weekend morning. We were nervous of going into some bars but the people were very welcoming even though the clientele were clearly mostly regulars. Everyone spoke at least some English and/or understood our French! We didn't use the metro locally but the Dupleix station is close.

We stayed in room 107, a double with ensuite. The bed was big, fairly firm and comfortable enough for co-sleeping with the baby. We wouldn't have wanted to stay there for weeks (we're used to a king size bed at home!) but it was fine for the weekend. If you normally co-sleep and your baby is still smallish, this is an ideal hotel. The room itself was small, which is something of a blessing when trying to control a toddler! There weren't any obvious dangers for her. The bedside table edges were sharp but the window and wardrobe handles were high up. We felt very safe letting her run around the room and bathroom. There is a panel on the wall to control the heating and we were lovely and warm despite the below-freezing temperature outside.

There was a safe and a mini fridge in the wardrobe containing soft drinks, peanuts and Toblerones, charged at 2.50-3.50 euros each, which isn't ridiculously steep, but we bought drinks from the small shop a few metres down the road instead, or there are Monoprix and Bio supermarkets just by the Dupleix stop of the 42 bus. The room had a bath with shower overhead. Both worked perfectly. There is a wall-attached hair dryer which we didn't test. There was a fair bit of floor space in the bathroom which was perfect for baby-wrangling! Both the bedroom and bathroom had windows that open ended onto the street with pretty window boxes outside.

We didn't have breakfast at the hotel but what they did serve was continental only. There are also no tea/coffee making facilities. Room service had a good menu but only of cold food/cold drinks and you could not order deserts/wine without ordering a meal. This is a shame as we really wanted a pudding and hot drink after walking through the cold at night!

I'm giving four stars. We loved the place and the staff couldn't have been better but some way of getting a hot drink is a must for me. There were also small faults in the decoration, cracked tiles, wonky towel rail and the like. That doesn't particularly bother me and the place was spotlessly clean but it might be an issue for some.

We would definitely return as a couple and I'd also come here with a friend for a relaxed short break sharing a twin room. It's definitely a hotel/area for grown ups who don't want to be right in the thick of it but aren't stuffy and would like nice bars, food and good transport links.

We had a great welcome to this small hotel. The staff speak English, but are prepared to help with your French if you choose to give it a try.
The room was small, like most of the hotels in the area, and the shower cubicle was small. Other than that, it was fine - clean, warm, and a very comfy bed.
Breakfast is continental only, although there's plenty of croissant & other bread and a toaster, plus cereals - help yourself.
Location is fantastic - 15 minute stroll to the Eiffel Tower, 5 minutes to the local Metro station. Loads of restaurants in the area.
The staff were very helpful.
If you are traveling via Eurostar, the 42 bus stop is just outside the hotel, and is a 45 minute tour of the city to Gare du Nord
We'd stay here again
Can't comment on value as the room was bkked as a present.

I am writing this review for my parents who do not own a computer but would like to share their experience with trip advisor readers. They stayed for only one night. The rooms were typically smaller but wonderful and extremely clean. The view from their window was lovely and gave a wonderful view of daily French living. They could see the Eiffel Tower, and it is within walking distance. There are shops and restaurants in the neighborhood. The front desk attendants were extremely friendly and helpful. Good value for the price. They highly recommend this hotel.
