The staff here are excellent, cannot do enough to help with your stay (extra duvet late at night for my wife). The rooms are really exquisite inside with stunning bathrooms that are clean and spacious. In terms of location, its only five mins from the Eiffel Tower, really easy to get to anywhere as its on an ace interchange on the metro. It is set in a distinct neighbourhood which is really nice as you wander around and has its own distinct non touristy flavour. A couple of really great restaurants close by (Cafe du Commerce and La Gauloise).

The only downside to the hotel is that there is some noise that you can notice. As the floors are wooden sometimes the rooms upstairs can be heard and can wake you if you fancy a little lie in. In addition as the hotel is off the main road and the windows are original, the noise can be noticed and travels up when it does occur outside. Having said that we did not raise this with the hotel staff and am sure that if we had done they would have done their best to address this situation. My advice would be to ask for a room on a higher floor to avoid this noise as we were woken up a couple of times. For this reason they get a four out of five because paying over 200 euro a night you would expect to have no noise issues.

Room Tip: Ask for a higher floor

Stayed here beginning of march.. would stay here again! Stunning hotel and lovely people! About a 10 minute walk from the eiffel tower, not even 5 minutes from restaurants and supermarkets. Its down a quiet back street so no noise at night! Didn't eat here because there is so much choice of places to go... Only stayed for one night but would love to stay here again for more, was in a standard room and it was the best nights sleep i've ever had!!! such a comfy bed!! Love paris and this hotel!!

Really enjoyed our 2 night stay at this fab hotel. We chose a standard room, which was perfect for us.

the hotel has a great location, perfect room - clean and size wise, and really friendly staff.

Will be our go to hotel in Paris from now on.

We recently stayed for 5 nights and it was a great experience! The room was clean and the bed was very cozy! Extremely nice decor, and superb service! The staff were all very friendly and accomodating! The room we stayed in was a somewhat small, but comfortable and clean enough to get thru the time there. I think most of the hotels in Paris have small rooms, but this was much more comfortable than others I read about. The hotel also offers lager suites and rooms if you want! The bathroom was a good size, bigger than some I have seen, We were out most of the day site seeing and when we came back to the hotel eveything was nice and clean.

The hotel is like 1-2 blocks away from the Eiffel Tower and 1-2 blocks from a Metro station, It had access to 3 major lines and we had access to all of Paris from there. Lots of places to eat in the area and bunch of restaurants just walking distance. There was an amazing Crepe place just across the Train station. A ton of bakeries close by and yes even a starbucks. The location for this Hotel was Key to our trip, and the staff had great tips and made reservations for us to all the shows and tours we needed. I would recommend contacting them prior to arrival to set up a Taxi to pick you up from the airport. We took the train and metro and initially it was tough especially with luggage so it will be easier to take the taxi in and then use the metro to travel the city.

We were very pleased with our stay and will definetly be back to Paris and will stay here again!

We stayed for one night in a Junior Suite. The Suite is small but cozy and very well decor, the bed is very comfortable. Great customer service, people are very friendly and helpful.

Very close to the Eiffel Tower, and couples of good restaurants in a walking distance. Lovely boutique hotel and we would stay again when in Paris.

We stayed at the Hotel Ares Eiffel earlier this year. The hotel itself is quite beautiful, decor is lovely. Rooms of course are extremely small. The bathtub is tiny, one person could hardly fit comfortably in the tub because it is quite narrow.

Unfortunately the hotel hygiene standards were at a minimum. When I was having a bath I just glanced at the toilet to see what was months of dried up faeces (bacteria and poo) underneath the rim of the bowl which made me almost vomit.
Even the cups used to rinse your mouth after brushing your teeth were not cleaned they just put caps over them without checking whether they had been used or not.

It was late at night after we settled in so I did not want to have to gather all my things to move to another room, I thought ill speak to the manager in the morning.
The only thing the manager will offer you is a "free breakfast" or a room change for any possible thing that goes wrong.

Breakfast although it was free for us was definitely not worth 18 euros. So when we were offered another breakfast due to a separate problem the next day, we did not take up the offer because it was very awkward to eat there. We were offered some sample perfumes of hermes as a gift which was nice but we most likely will not go there again due to the whole experience.

TIPS:
Soo many hotels to choose from: We chose to stay a third night at a different hotel on the main street which was amazing in comparison, we had at least twice the room with a big bathroom and bathtub, a separate sitting area and a very spacious bedroom for less than the price we paid for one night at Ares.

Breakfast: go out onto the main street which is just a stones throw from the hotel, it will overwhelm you how many choices there are for under 8 euros!

The streets which have many other hotels are close to the hotel Ares. Have a look on trip advisor or go on google earth to see them. The streets are called:
Av. De la Motte-Piquet and Rue du Commerce

Dear Jessica I am very disappointed to see that you don't tell all the truth of the story. When you came down in the morning the receptionist to whom you showed the picture asked you why you didn't call the night porter to show him the situation . At your place I would have called immediately to take care of the issue and for example to ask to change the room. You didn't and came down the next morning with a very arrogant attitude saying that you wont pay the entire night. When you saw that I wasn't ready to accept your blackmail you changed and wanted to pay half price of the what you payed in advance for staying with us. Again I refused. To pacify this situation I offered you the breakfast and the litle present upon your check out .
It is very easy to go to the toilet, take the picture and after to blackmail the hotelier by saying that you don't want to pay or ask for a discount. Why am'I so sure of what I am sayng? Because my wife took personally care of your room during all your stay. Dear Jessica, one thing I can assure you is that I will never accept any blackmail like you did. Now I have to go and please all the guests who are in the hotel, and I want to take the opportunity to thank all the 1.300 guests that have spent their precious time to leave nice comments especially about the cleanless of our property.
Best Regards

Stayed here for a 6 days business trip. Hotel is close to metro and restaurants. Room is clean and decor is lovely. Breakfast was okay and expensive (18 euro). They have a Starbuck near the metro entrance so I would recommend get your coffee and breakfast there instead. I've dined at the nearby restaurant, La Gauloise and it was delicious!
