“Completely Satisfied! - Less is More Part 17”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 11, 2011

we made a four-night reservations for an apartment for two adults and two kids and found the suite (#1603) to be MOST satisfying. there is enough space for everyone and in spite of several previous less favorable reviews, found our unit to be very clean and comfortable. although we arrived early (10am) they let us check in immediately. and our request for a room with a view of the tower was met - very accomodating indeed! a request to fix out phone was also quickly attended to. it is a 10-minute walk to the nearest metro station Dupleix (not the most convenient) but along the way there are numerous little shops, cafes and restaurants (esp Rue de Lourmel). For a busy tourist class accomodation in the middle of the city, this is more than satisfactory.

Room Tip: rooms ending in #03 in the Seine Tower will get a double view of Tour Eiffel and the Seine

Room: Apartment type Room
View: One of the few skyrise buildings in Paris, thus, a great view. One of our companions even got a direct Eiffel Tower view.
Location: about 15 to 20 minutes walk to Eiffel Tower, about 10 minutes walk to nearest Metro.
Food: Greeeaat and satisfying. Aside from the usual bread, complete with 3 kinds of ham, egg, and sausage!
Price: A bit pricey but if its within your budget range, definitely value for your money.
Staff: Friendly enough, especially the ones in the dining area. But for the reception, not too friendly. And not too helpful.

Room Tip: Room 1613 gets a view of Paris.

I already hosted in other Adagio and certainly the Adagio Paris is the worst. Not because the location or structure of the rooms but because the poor quality of the staff. Paris is known for the bad reputation of employees, but in a hotel like Adagio, this cannot happen. Even more for the price that was paid. My stay was disappointing because I was treated very badly at the reception every time I tried to communicate, and for the simple fact that if I wanted to have my room cleaned, I had to pay for it. Unfortunately I don't recommend this hotel to anyone.

Imagine this: The 20th floor, a stunning view of Paris City, the picturesque Seine river, with the breath-taking Eiffel tower a mere 10 minute walk! Paris for me is symbolic of the Eiffel Tower and knowing that I am just a couple of minutes away from this amazing monument was a reason for exhilaration every moment I was at Adagio!!!

The rooms were spacious and clean, in-fact we were 3 people in a studio and didn't feel cramped! The sofa opens up to a comfortable double bed; with amazing french windows that open upto a star-lit sky! The metro station is a 5 min walk. Paris, in my opinion is best explored on foot! if you're new to the city, just take the map and walk, walk, walk!!! A good route to explore is walking to the Eiffel Tower (10-15 mins), walking to the Arc de Triomphe from there (15 mins) and walking to Champs Elysees from there (20 mins). Notre Dame and Louvre are about 15 mins metro ride.

I can't really find anything to critique about Adagio : its may not be Parisian in experience if you're expecting some sorta European quaintness to it, but its comfortable located, especially if the Eiffel Tower is marked with a "BIG HEART SHAPE" on your map!!! :-D

Room Tip: There are rooms with the view of the Eiffel Tower (which looks ten times more stunning at night, esp...

We thought this was a great apart-hotel. Our apartment had a view of the Seine and more than enough room for the 3 of us - the kitchenette and extra space very helpful with a small child. Rooms were clean and comfortable but relatively basic. There was also carparking and a small indoor pool. Excellent value for money

The hotel was actually about a 15min walk to the Eiffel Tower and about 5mins to the Metro and RER stations. A very reasonable base for most attractions, though you need to use metro to get to most places. The was also a large Monoprix next door which was great for groceries

No complaints - the staff/concierge were also all very helpful

The Adagio has a good location but our apartment was dirty! The floors, walls and bathroom area all needed a serious cleaning and painting. The small refrigerator smelled like meat had gone bad and it was never cleaned. It was such a bad odor that the few times we opened the refrigerator door the whole apartment smelled for an hour. The reception desk staff was indifferent at best... no smiles or extra effort. The breakfast was worth the money, and the apartment was big with a great view. But please, clean the place!

Room Tip: Higher rooms give you a better view of the Eiffel Tower. The light show at night is inspiring.

We stayed in a studio (two couples). There was a very big bedroom, a sofa-bed, a well-equiped kitchen and a very nice bathroom with tube. There was a sliding door isolating the living room and giving privacy to the couple in the sofa bed. Our room had a view of the Seine river, breathtaking! It's located very near the metro station (5 min walking), markets, restaurants and boulangeries. As we stayed 4 ninghts, our room was not cleaned, but we could request the towel change, if needed. The hotel also has a very good laundry and business center. The staff is friendly.
