Good Location, and rooms were maintained and cleaned properly. I would not pay 99-124 Euro for this size of room. when i realized there are rooms with same size, hygiene available at 40-60 euro in Paris. Its just a promotion that ibis is a value and cheap hotels but in reality its not. I would pay 50 euro extra and stay in a hilton or higher class hotel with bigger room and more facilities like gym , swimming pool and sauna etc with a total of 180-200euros. otherwise other hotels with room rent of 40 - 60 euro is more than worth in Paris.

For what we paid, and what we expected, this hotel delivered. Never stayed at Ibis before. Reception was clean and very efficient. Room was small, basic, but very clean and everything worked-good air con. very comfy bed with good pillows, and small but good shower room(no bath) with powerful shower. Continental breakfast was reasonable, self service, could have done with slightly better choice pastries, but good selection of fruit, and eat as much as you want. Would certainly consider staying here again if the price was right . Easy 10 min walk from gard de Nord

Room Tip: We stayed in upper room in the annexe opposite the main hotel, and this was fine, rear facing room a...

We stayed at Ibis Hotel "Gare de l'est" and the service was very good. We even got the room a few hours before we were supposed to as we arrived in Paris very early in the morning. During our stay there every day started by having a coffee and croissant at the shop just on the corner. Such good coffee ! As it is so nice to walk around in the city we walked to many nice places like «The Jardin des tuileries» «The Jardins des plantes» and also to «Montparnasse» «The Notre-Dame Cathedral» etc. etc. . . . so much fun walking and seeing all those famous places we have heard about. Walking along «The Seine» was such so amazing, calm and fun. All that without talking about the nice charming little restaurant where we ate some of the best food there is in Paris. It was a nice visit that I would recommend anyone to do it.

Room Tip: Rooms that are close to the street are not so noisy as we would think. That is what we had and it wa...

the room smelt, there were stains on the sheet, there were cracks in the plaster on the walls, everything was tatty, even the remote control was missing the plastic cover for the batteries, my room was in a separate building from the main one, you had to cross a road from the reception, the building was being renovated but still open with a flight of stairs & narrow passages to navigate with bags, luckily I was on business, I felt for the families and couples stuck there hoping for a clean, decent and reasonably cheap hotel. You book into the big chains, forsaking the characterful small independent hotels because you expect a certain basic standard... This was wholly lacking, it felt like being stuck in a detention centre!!! It was also £129 a night, which would have been expensive for an Ibis even if it had been adequate!

Booked ten rooms several months back, arrived on Monday evening to be told that the air con was broken and that the engineer was not available to fix it - what they failed to say was that it had been broken for days, so why not email customers to warn them. Reception staff very nice but SO slow, and seem to work in total chaos. One computer for guests, but no printer. Rooms adequate but vile unidentfied stench in the hall and in the bedroom. Breakfast consisted of frozen fruit, awful coffee and cheap high sugar cereals. Manageress is something to behold - she takes attitude to a whole new level. They claim that if they cant fix a proboem within 15 minutes they will give you your money back - not it seems when its something as major as the aircon. Avoid this hotel at all costs - truly dire and the worst I have ever had the misfortune to stay in.

Room Tip: Go to another hotel!

Good mornin Mister Cook,
We can understand your dissatisfaction concerning the air conditioning but the deadlineof repair was independent from our will. Today it is repaired. We are very surprised of your comment on the breakfast, the latter being correct and at present with the animation of the brésil. We met you, apologized and we also have to request to change room what you refused.
Kindly accept our apologies for the fact of not having warned you previously, for us we made every effort to bring you solutions. Best Regards, Chantal PECOU / MANAGER

No bathtub or partition in the bathroom. I only can stand & bathe & make all the area flooding while I am bathing. Even though I have requested changing of the room but just has the same condition. I was not staying in a 'hotel'.

Room Tip: Triple room is better
