“Great value for a hotel that is advertised as budget”
Reviewed November 12, 2013

This was a short break with a group of girl friends booked through Riviera Travel. Rooms are clean and comfortable though small but fine for a couple of days. Bath and shower good and towels changed each day. Some issues with the key cards which did not always work but the staff very apologetic and resolved the situation quickly. Breakfast was excellent - loads of choice and if you stuck with the allocated time not too busy. Location is good with local shops and good eating places and only a short walk to public transport.

Just back from an short stay at Ibis Alesia with Riveria Travel. Hotel Ibis Alesia was very good. Breakfast - plenty of choice, beds comfortable, easy access to local metro sustem which is about 7 mins walk from hotel. Riviera Travel Rep, so knowledgeable about Paris. Recommend this hotel-first-class.

We.too were on an accompanied Riviera Tour so we had no problems with travel and had allocated times for a continental breakfast, which was plentiful and delicious - and crowded! Fortunately the staff were multilingual and very helpful and had information on local travel (very convenient) at their fingertips. For us, most unfortunately, the hotel had no tea and coffee making facilities, one could buy tea or coffee at the bar, a rather expensive and lengthy process. Dinner at the hotel was beautifully served by an attentive waiter ,but although OK for breakfast was, frankly, dark and dingy for dinner. We would stay here again but would be sure to pack a travel kettle!

stayed here during a recent accompanied tour to Paris with Riviera Travel. Comfortable, well equipped hotel. Good, extensive choice of continental breakfast with nice coffee. Very comfortable beds and pillows ( a big thing for me - I have a bad back) Rooms were rather small for doubles but I had single occupancy. Pretty basic, but fine. Staff polite and helpful, though attendance at the coffee point/bar was a bit erratic - no cover while staff had breakfast. Hairdryer supplied. Hotel fairly near the very interesting route 4 metro line. Good bus routes into the city also. Found restaurants and bistros in the area more expensive than expected. I'd go again.

I was worried about staying here as I thought it would be far away from the city. In fact the location was excellent and in some cases preferable to the overcrowded touristy places in Paris. The hotel is clean, corridors a bit musty but as a base to sleep only it does exactly that ! Breakfast ok, not a lot of choice but better than just a croissant and a coffee . I would recommend this hotel as a budget stay in Paris, definitely not for a special occasion but a good place as a base.

Stayed at Alesia 4 - October 2013 whilst on a RIVIERA travel weekrnd.

Room was on top floor and window opened to allow some fesh air in. Room was clean but basic. Hotel is in need of a lot of TLC but is placed in an interesting area with decent restaurants nearby not necessarily those mentioned by Riviera who do not make recommendations anyway. (very wise policy).
Richard from Riviera was very good but the Alesia was pushing itself to reach AVERAGE standard.

Room Tip: Ask for a room high up assuming lifts are working.

Stayed here on a Riviera city break. Yes, the room was small - but what are you going to do in it except sleep? If you were staying on business and wanted a bigger room and more facilities, then you'd have to pony up the dough and pay for a more expensive hotel - news flash - Paris (like most capitals) is not a cheap place to stay! Room was clean, perfectly adequate for our needs, breakfasts were busy but again perfectly fine. Can't understand why people give negative feedback for things like 'no wifi' or 'not enough TV channels' - you're on holiday for heaven's sake! Can't you stay 'off the grid' for a few days? Chillax dudes and get out there pounding the pavements (or better still take le Metro...one of the best rapid transit systems in the world)

On an unrelated note - Riviera Travel were superb - and a big 'high five' to our guide, Andy - friendly, knowledgeable and with an endless supply of anecdotes.
