I went with our local National Trust Group using Riviera Travel. I had a clean comfortable if somewhat small room overlooking the courtyard. Everything in the room was fine, the air-conditioning was efficient and a very comfy double bed. The only reason I have given average as the overall rating was due to the chaos at breakfast. The food was good but it was the lack of sufficient staff to keep the crockery, food etc topped up. I have previously stayed in an Ibis Hotel near Heathrow and breakfast ran smoothly. I felt sorry for the staff on duty as they just could not cope with the throughput of people. The Hotel is well placed for public transport, although our trip mainly used the coach.

We stayed here for 1 night before leaving for the North of France. It is well located for Paris Montparnasse train station, just a short walk away.
The hotel itself was very dated and in need of redecorating. The rooms were ok with average facilities.
Not sure whether we would stay there again, only if we needed to be around that location. There are other options elsewhere in the city for the price.

Six of us to Paris for 3 nights with Riviera Travel staying at the Ibis at Alesia, Montparnasse. Before the Hotel let me just say that Riviera Travel are great, Brilliant, fantastic. Nothing to much trouble, on time to the minute and our Escourt Mark was superb. That's an understatement, he is outstandingly efficient, experienced and great fun. Anyway, Leicester to Paris by rail and now to the Hotel. I suppose we were expecting quite a lot from our previous Ibis experiences. It was clean, tidy with nothing to complain about - untill Breakfast that is. THE worst experience of a Hotel breakfast ever, and we have been to a few. it was overcrowded, understaffed and totally unaceptabale for an International Hotel chain. There was often no hot water to make tea, quite often no milk and often other food unavailable. Worse still, there was a lack of staff so it was not possible without great effort to get anything done. Ibis, get this sorted, it was dreadfull. OK, so it was a great value for money package from Riviera but at least acceptable standards for meal service is expected. Oh, and by the way, the lifts are a pain to use and don't work well. To reiterate, Riviera are not to blame, this aspect is totally down to Ibis. Otherwise, we had a really great time in Paris thanks to Riviera offering sensibly chosen excursions. well done Riviera, sort it Ibis.

Room Tip: Chose a room on first floor so as not to use the lift as little as possible.

This is not a luxury hotel, but having stayed in a few Ibis hotels before I wasn't expecting it to be. The room was quite small and even though we were told we'd have separate beds, my sister and I ended up having a large king size bed to share. It wasn't a problem for us, but others may feel cramped with such close quarters. There's not much in the way of space in the room as most of it's taken up by the bed, but that's all you need since you're out exploring the city all day anyways. The bed was very firm, just the way I like! I'm usually always complaining about hotel beds, but this one was a winner for me.

Did not eat in the restaurant, many small cafes and groceries within walking distance.

Also conveniently located to the Metro, very easy to get around the city.

Air conditioning was nice during the heat wave.

Popular hotel for groups and we did have a noisy night due to some rowdy teenagers, but overall it was fine.

Storage lockers were available and easy to use on our last day, make sure you have change.
