My boyfriend booked this hotel for 2 nights in conjunction with Eurostar tickets.

When we arrived, the reception area looked lovely, quite chic but as we climbed the stairs to our room on the second floor it just seemed to get grubbier.

The room was small and the decor and furniture very tired and worn. There was a big dirty boot print on the bed sheet, the mattress had seen better days and the towels looked liked they needed replacing. The only mirror in the room was in the bathroom and there wasn't a hair dryer. The bathroom was also quite dated but was reasonably clean, certainly didn't spot any mould spots.

This was also probably the noisiest hotel I've ever stayed in. I could hear everything that was happening in the surrounding rooms and on the second night a fellow guests coughing fit woke us up and kept us awake for some time.

We had breakfast one morning which consisted of tea or coffee, orange juice, a croissant, a pan au chocolate and a piece of baguette. Jams were on the table for you to help yourself. This cost 5 euros each and to be fair it set us up for the day.

Location wise it was within walking distance of alesia, pernety and plaisance metro stops which was great. We walked to the Notre Dame on the first day which wasn't as far as I had imagined.

Would I stay here again? No. I do think if they updated the rooms to make them seem a bit more modern and sleeker I wouldn't mind the size of the room so much but they would also need to invest in some sort of sound proofing!

The hotel didn't improve since my last stay years ago, in the contrary.
The decoration is awful, and you have to ask yourself if the sheets of the bed are clean.
The bathroom towels are too thin.
You hear everything the persons in the room just beside of yours are saying and doing !

Room Tip: The top floor, at least you will have the less noise from the street and the other guests.

It was a great stay and a very good price for such a last minute find. It had a great location I thought, not directly in the city, but VERY close to the metro stop (which is by far the best way to get around, besides walking). The metro ride, was not to long depending on what you wanted to see. Getting there was fairly simple once we figured out the Paris metro system (which is huge!).
The staff was friendly, and very helpful. They spoke English and some Spanish, which was great.Told us exactly ow to get to places, such as take this metro to get to the Eiffel Tower, etc.
If i am ever in Paris again, i'd stay there again with no issues.

Room Tip: I can not be sure, but I had a room with a good view, it looked out into the street, but Paris was p...

We struggled to find any hotel during the week of our stay due to a busy October season. However, this hotel was available for one night, and we were glad it was the one. No hairdryer, room desperately needed updating along with the bed linens which needed refreshed. However, we only paid Y
66 euros for the night which is very cheap for Paris, and about right for this hotel.

Ok if you need something last minute. Else, book in advance and pay a little more in a better location e.g. France Albion is very good for the price.

This a no-frills hotel with a pleasant staff. The rooms are quite small, as is often the case in Europe. The hotel was built in the 1940s. If all you need is a place to sleep that has internet access then Moulin Vert will work for you. There are plenty of places to eat and drink within walking distance. You can get to a subway station within three or four blocks.

I came with a group of people. This place used to be fine for what it was. The Swiss/English owners were charming, so you forgave any shortcomings. I used to live opposite, and for convenience, would always put my visitors in there. Convenient if not the greatest, and free breakfast as a little reduction if you lived in the neighbourhood.
But with the change of staff, the manager is ODIOUS and refuses to help out in any situation. The other staff will try and help out but he blocks them. Whenever I had to deal with him, I was left with a very bad impression. A credit card arrived for one of my group, the staff said they would mail it on after it arrived, but he refused saying it was not his role and we would have to hire UPS to take care of it, when the Poste is 50 metres away. If he is not the owner, the owner should get rid if him! His attitude to service will not wash with Americans and English.
The feedback from the group was that the rooms are tiny, there is no air-conditioning and for those up high over the rooftops, the heat is unbearable. When asked, the staff cannot supply fans. The breakfast is minimal- don't buy it at the hotel, just go and walk a block and go to a café on Raymond Losserand.
This used to be reasonable, but you can stay in much better, more central places for the same money. As we say in French- A FUIR!

This hotel is in a quiet region. The staff is friendly, but could be a bit more informed about Paris itself. It was a good stay and not far to the city.
The best is to take the velib bike around the corner on the street didot and drive to the city....
there is a supermarket around the corner...
