Reviewed February 24, 2013

Stayed here in january 2013 for business for 2 nights. It is all average, nothing fancy. It is what you can expect for this price. Rooms are ok, pretty small, but nice. Bathroom did not have shower curtain or something, so plenty of water on the floor. But all in all a good experience.

After reading some of the reviews I was expecting a tiny room. Not very large but comfortable and not cramped. The bathroom was beautiful with a small bath and shower over and plenty of room for toiletries etc and plenty of towels. Tea and coffee making facilities and very friendly and informative staff. Unlike one of the reviewers I had biscuits, etc with me and nobody complained about them. The breakfast was ample with toast, croissants, rolls, yoghurt, fruit, cereal, cooked meats etc. I wouldn't say that was a limited buffet and service was very quick even though the dining room was very full. Great location just 10 minutes from Arc deTriomphe and 15 minutes to the best spot to photograph the Eiffel Tower from - Trocadero. An easy walk to the Champs Elysee so we were very happy at the hotel. Coming frrom CDG Airport I caught the Air France bus which is 29 euros return and drops you at the Arc de Triomphe which is an easy 15 minute walk to the hotel.

Room Tip: We were in Room 45 which is the furthest away from the Wi-fi and it was difficult to get a connectio...

during last w.e. I invited friends to join me in Paris and as this hotel is close to my house I booked a double room. the "double" room was a normal single room but clean and nice, bathroom too.
Unfortunately the lady I invited in Paris had some cookies/small chocolates in the room due to some medicines she has to take and after that she want to change the taste.. so the first night and the first day everything was marvellous, slept well, clean room etc but when she get back after the dinner she has to take the medicines and after the cookies/small chocolates, unfortunately those sweeties were disappeared. The morning later when we asked to the concierge the reason why he answer us "if you want eat you have to eat at the bar!!!", nice and cool answer!!! unfortunately at 11 pm the bar is closed and at the question "could you ask to the housekeeper why" the answer was " No i don't cause she leaved for her country this morning" ... so polite. As you can understand is not a matter of cookies or small chocolates but what happens if i forget my watch or wallet? It's a pity, for me that hotel was so near... anyway around it i will find others. keep aware if you leave sweeties in the room...

Room Tip: choose the biggest, that will be the normal stardard...

This hotel is 10-15 minutes to the Arc de Triomphe/ Central Paris also close to Victor Hugo Metro but at least 20/25minutes to the Effiel Tower.
The rooms are clean but very small the bed was comfy but the pillows were small (like cushions) the showerroom/toilet is very clean but again very small the Tv had one english language channel Sky News.
I found our room to be quite warm even in October, has to open the windows which then you hear the noise of citylife in Paris, even though rue de Lauriston is not a busy road Breakfast is a limited bufett but you can eat as much as you like
The one tip I would offer any travellers especially if you have come via Gar du Nord is go via metro not via Taxi, and the nearest stop is Victor Hugo

Dear Sir ,

We thank you very much for the time you took to leave a message on Tripadvisor, important for us and for all of our guests, and futures guests!
We are pleased to read you had a nice stay, and that you enjoyed the hotel , the breakfast .
Concerning the room size , it is true that some of our rooms are more or less spacious than the average standard but it is not always easy to find spacious rooms in a 3 star establishment in Paris , some people will say that it's the charm of Paris !

Hoping to see you a next time .

Kind regards

Emilie

rooms are very small ,the bathroom has every thing in it but not a lot of room for a person. on the plus side it did have free wifi and the breakfast had plenty to choose from. did lack good lighting in the rooms and stair case. it was quiet and close to the sights so if you just need a bed and travel on your own it's OK , if there are 2 of you travel light!

The Hotel is ideally located in Central Paris and is walking distance to Trocadero and the Effiel Tower. The rooms are small but well equipped with TV and free wifi access. For the price, it is good value for money. The manager was friendly and willing to provide whatever assistance was asked of him. The checkin and check-out was smooth and professionally handled.

A ten/fifteen minute walk to the Eiffel Tower, and the same to the Arc de Triomphe, and a reasonably quiet location, but the rest is so-so. Our room (21) was tiny, but clean, apart from a carpet that should be renewed, it wouldn't cost much. The bathroom was good, looks quite new. The staff were fine in the main, helpful when asked, but the feeling I got was that everything is done to minimise cost rather than entice you back. Breakfast was fairly basic, with little variety, but freshly-squeezed orange juice helped that along. Would I stay there again? Possibly, but I'd want a bigger room. It was probably better that a 3, but not a 4.
