Stayed 4 nights. Clean room, large bathroom (for parisian standards)
Restaurants, cinemas and theatres in the neighborhood.
Friendly staff, parkinggarage in front of the hotel.
One of the better hotels in the not too expensive class.
I intend returning to that hotel.

This is a small hotel priced reasonably for Paris, close to Montparnasse Metro. Nothing glamorous or utterly charming about the place but the two receptionists i met were charming, friendly and helpful. I must have been lucky with room 115 since it was exceptionally large by Paris standards.

Breakfast a touch dreary. They could easily do better.

All in all, a good hotel, if not excpetional.

Room Tip: Room 115 is a large double by Paris standards and is at the back of the hotel and quiet

We spent nine days here. The room was small but we were out sightseeing most of the time. TV had English speaking BBC and CNN channels. Th wifi in the room was at times slow and a few times disconnected totally. The room and common areas were clean and well decorated. The staff was very helpful and friendly.
It is only a block to the Metro station with easy access to anywhere in the city. The continental breakfast was excellent but after a few days we just bought rolls from a bakery the night before and some OJ and had a light breakfast in the room before starting our day.
We would stay here again.

What is there to say about a two star hotel. This is not a three star hotel. I should have known better.

Dirty room. Dirty carpet. Dirty bathroom. Broken toilet. Broken lights.

We strongly suggest you avoid this property.

We stayed 8 nights in Waldorf Montparnasse Hotel in July 2012 . We chosed it according to recomendations we found in different web sites. We booked it through Booking site and it was vary easy.
Location is very good, it was next to the metro Montparnasse Bienvenue, In front of Montparnasse tower from where it was vary convineant to get to every location in the city and within walking distance to a good shopping street like Rennes and till the end of the latin area and continues on to the Seine river in front of the louvre.
The hotel was renovated recently and is still missing the big sign with it's name at the entrance which made it difficalt to identify at our arrival. The hotel has sevaral types of rooms and we chosed a room of type Comfort which is 15 squar meters and that was very Convenient. It is standard equiped, It has a big and comforable king size bed, A big and renovated shouwer, vary clean, A safe, Free Wi Fi in the rooms and in the loby, A lugage room in the loby, A minibar and good air conditioning. The staff were kind and will always love to give directions, explanations, Call a ride or any other thing you might need. In front of the hotel there is a shopping center with Galery lafayet. A vary large Monoprix Super Market about 100 meters from the entrance (a vary popular Super Market all over the city). The popular restaurant Hippopotamus and a Starbucks cafe also a vary short distance. All in all it was very good, it is definitely recommended in relation to the prices and the standards of the hotels in Paris.
Breakfast at the hotel is an additional 9 Euro per guest. We choosed to pass on it when there are so many good options around.

Room Tip: Comfort room is a big and very Convenient.

Stayed here one night before leaving France in am. After checking in midafternoon, took elevator to room on second floor. Hallway light was off and vacuum cleaner was stretched out along hallway in front of elevator-no one with it! Room seemed okay but carpet soiled and stains on bedspread. Bathroom was updated, clean and a unexpectedly roomy. Opened windows to air out room and found them covered by construction sheeting due to renovations on front of building. Went out one hour later-hall light off again and vacuum still along hallway. At bedtime, pulled down bed cover and noted there were no pillows just a sheet(?) rolled over some filler of some sort. Too tired to care but did see a pillow on closet shelf. Didn't sleep well with the noise from traffic (on a main street) and felt itchy. Got up to get pillow from closet to use and fell asleep until awakened by my head itching. Threw pillow on floor and back to sleep. Up to get dressed and found brown flat bug on my clothes, Where my head had been was covered in tiny drops of blood, my daughter noted she had felt itchy on her legs, pulled back the sheet covers and there was another one by her feet! Did not examine the bed linens any closer, just wanted to leave!! Had to unpack all our luggage and examine it for any bedbugs that might have crawled in. It was awful! We were quite certain they were bedbugs and after looking them up on the internet, it was confirmed. Put the bedbugs in a glass of water and brought them down to the front desk. The receptionist was extremely helpful and notified the manager (not on the premises) who eventually refunded the cost of the room. The mgr emailed my daughter the next day and indicated the room was "blocked off and will be thoroughly cleaned". I think that hotel needs more than that one room cleaned for bedbugs-in the US, usually the whole facility must be treated and the Health Dept must be notified. Would never recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Choose a different hotel - and read reviews before choosing

this kind of bedbugs din't come alone in the hotels. May be brought by the customer on his own.(the two animals were big and after, we didn't see one more in the room). I came straightaway on sunday morning in the hotel I was terrified and I block off the room ans monday morning we cleanned the hotel THOROUGLY , in EVERY rooms IN EVERY TINY PLACE.
We don't have anymore problem. And the whole staff is very carefull.
Nowadays, everybody can be conscious that everybody in every hotel in the world can have this kind of problem (for instance in the town of New York the problem is already very well known by travellers.)
We take care of our hotel :This year, we have renovated 12 bathrooms, the front of the building and the airconditionning.
we are going to change the bedspead by duvet only with four pillows in every rooms.
the stains of the carpet were not dirty but the carpet lost its color with liquid detergent.

Spent 9 nights recently at this hotel April 5 thru April 13, 2012. Construction and remodeling covered the front of the hotel. We had a street facing room, but no view at all. No room air circulation. Opened window for fresh air but got noise most all night from bar next door. When the window was closed the sound proofing was great. The staff was pleasant and helpful all the time for us. The good thing was it's location for metro and within good walking distance to restaurants on Montparnasse Blvd. The continental breakfast was satisfactory. If I was to return, I would ask for a room away from the street, since there is no view worth looking at anyway. The room was made up every day and the bathroom was clean as well. For a 3 star hotel, it earned a 3 from us.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from street.
