A good hotel! Nice neigbourhood with several restaurants and a small bakery just down the road so you can start your day with some croisants or pain chocolat!

Breakfast was above average and the overall the ecperience was what we hoped for.

Rooms very small but clean!

The hotel is close to two Metro stations which can get you around the city fairly quickly. There are many cafes nearby that are open quite late it seemed. Several movie theaters are within easy walking distance and show many movies in English.
The hotel staff was very polite and spoke English well.
I had room 61, a corner room on the back side of the hotel. It was away from the street and very quiet. I never heard anything from other rooms but could easily hear conversations in the small hall just outside the room.
It was a nice hotel, but didn't have anything extra special that I saw.
The price was reasonable and I would certainly stay there again.

Room Tip: Try to chose a room on a lower floor. The elevator is small and slow. The stairs could be faster e...

I am staying here now. Lots of street noise and no HVAC fan to drown out noise. Will buy a fan today. Can hear guest in the next room snoring. Heard someone throwing up last night in another room. Shower dirty. Light bulb out and I asked for a new one... front desk attendent said "The person who does that will not be in until Monday." I asked the next front desk attendent and he handed me a new lightbulb. I realize Paris hotels are expensive and I took a risk in staying here with a low rate. Another 50 Euros a night would have been well spent. Pictures on the website are a stretch.

Room Tip: Bring a fan to drown out the noise from the street and from other rooms and ask for a room on the co...

We travel around Europe quite a bit so are used to small room, nut our 5th floor room at the Apollinaire was very cosy even by Parisian standards. The bathroom also had a bit of mould - but apart from that it was very clean, and we couldn't hear anyone in other rooms. We paid 90euros for one night as the hotel we usually stay in (the Lennox Montparnasse, on the same street) was quoting 170euros a night, much more than the 120/130 we usually get rooms there for.

We had a warm welcome and the receptionist was very helpful as we were leaving the next morning, but for a few euros more you can stay in a much nicer rrom just down the road - so I'm afraid we probably won't be going back.

(We didn't have the breakfast so can't comment on it)

Room Tip: Try to get a on the first couple of floors - and one facing the street

Another tiny lift. The room and bed were small. The bathroom was okay and reasonably clean.
The breakfast room was bright and pleasant, but the fare on offer only average.
It is indeed well situated for the gare Montparnasse and does have a huge selection of restaurants and cafes in the area.
Not bad, but nothing out of the ordinary.

I picked this hotel based on the other reviews and I was not disappointed. The rooms are of course Paris-small but they were clean and despite having a street-side room quiet as well. A/C is a big plus in this location and price range and it was much appreciated. Location could not have been better with a metro stop at each end of the street with quick connections to wherever you wanted to go. Easy walk to the Luxembourg Gardens and the Latin Quarter too. The neighborhood is full of good cafes and restaurants, grocers, theaters and even a laundromat next door!

The only negative was the breakfast which should be skipped. Not only were the selections rather meager but the staff didn't even attempt to keep items like milk, cheese and butter cold. But as there are many other breakfast choices in the area this is not a deal-breaker and won't prevent me from returning the next time I am in Paris.
