Stayed here for 4 nights in May. Nice single room, not large but was perfect for my stay. My room opened out on to the street so there was a bit of street noise, mainly in the mornings. but nothing that woke me up or kept me awake, but if you're a light sleeper you might ask for a inside room, some of which open up on to a central courtyard and would probably be quieter.
Front Desk staff spoke fairly good english and were very helpful and accomodating.
The location is good, less than a block to the Edard Quimet Metro Station and only 3-4 blocks to the Montparnasse Metro station and the Gare Montparnasse train station.
Several coffee shops and restaurants and a small grocery on the same street as the hotel, and many other restaurants within one or two blocks, (including 12 creperies!)

This hotel is near Metro stations, restaurants, small shops, etc. The small street where its located can be a little noisy at night, depending on where your room faces. There's free wifi access, with good reception in the room. It has a small breakfast room, but for the cost you are better off getting something at the Patisserie a few doors down. The single room was very comfortable and with a nice size bathroom. The front desk staff was very helpful and nice.

This is a decent, comfortable three star city hotel, very typical of France. Our modest double room with shower was absolutely fine though I am continuing my campaign for more hotels to have BBC on the tv. Staff helpful. Breakfast much as usual. Pleasant lounge - we brought in some wine and snacks. Location is also very French - there are even a few proper shops around - butcher, baker, greengrocer, pattisserie, fishmonger, charcutier - not that we were self-catering. Also a wonderful mostly food market at the end of the road on Wednesday and Saturday mornings. Plenty of bars and restaurants around with some heavyweight fish cooking going on, places in the Guide Michelin, and of course some of the most famous pavement cafes in Paris eg La Coupole, La Rotonde, Le Select, also at the other end of the road on the Boulevard Montparnasse. See the Rue Gaiete for nightlife; and with theatres and many cinemas nearby if your French is up to it. The Luxembourg Gardens are within walking distance as is St Germain des Pres and the Latin Quarter if you don't mind stepping out. Good access to public transport including a direct Metro link to Gare du Nord.

I can't really say anything that hasn't been said before. Nice room with space to move around, decent bathroom with tub and shower - would benefit from a shower curtain, EXCELLENT location in terms of busses and metro and close to nice brasseries, cafes etc.

Stayed 3 nights in mid-September. Close to all transportation modalities that can get you around the entire town without having to resort to a taxi or car. Pleasant and accommodating staff. Decent, continental style breakfast. Rooms are small, but clean and well-maintained. Although all european hotels have non-smoking rooms, smoke wafts in from outside and other rooms. Bathroom had a smallish, cylindrical shaped shower with hand-held showerhead...decent condition. I would stay here again.

This was a good value hotel in the heart of the lively Montparnasse quartier. It is near the station, easy to find and handy for restaurants in the nearby theatre district. The hotel is clean and comfortable with pleasant staff. We had breakfast in a local resto so can't comment on that.

This was a wonderful find. One block from the metro. Many cafes, shops and restaurants. Room was immaculate but very tiny - of course, the price was reasonable as well. The desk was very helpful with directions and excellent restaurant recommendations (also very reasonable and delicious). A real winner.
