Room 48, 4th floor.
Pro's:
-Whole hotel refurbished!
-modern apartments
-kitchenette + dining area (fridge, cooker, kettle, microwave- combi-grill, extractor fan, utensils, pots + pans & cutlery)
-reasonable size bathroom
-never before thought I would sleep on a sofa bed that was comfortable! + clean sheets/pillows also spares in the cupboard.
-Quiet
-Free WIFI
-TV in room
-Phone in room
-Safe in cupboard
-Iron/Iron-board in room
-Airconditioned rooms
-Breakfast buffet on ground floor on patio
-Laundry Service in basement
-Very helpful and friendly reception staff! Recommending bookshops/eateries/trains.
-Water machine + tea and coffee machine available in lobby
-Communal dining area in a mini patio/enclosed garden
-15-20meters from Gaite Metro
-Across the road from Gare Mont Parnasse
-lots of cafes/restaurants in the area
-supermarket + minimarket couple of doors down each way
-la fayette chain shopping centre around the corner

Con's
-A tad pricey
-Not the largest of studio apartments but not small either, enough space for everything
-Friend's AC broke - kept dripping! Hotel immediately called technician - his response was to turn it off. In the end her AC kept dripping but that was more the fault of the technician. Still, needs to be fixed!

Stayed with my son in a small 8th floor studio. Very well located just next to metro. Fridge and kitchenette save 14e/person/day if you bother to make your own breakfast - many grocery stores around. Free wifi!

Despite the very nice welcome and the receptionist doing her best, i do not recommend this hotel or hotel/apart at all to all. She gave another room, very kind of her, but new room had same problem

1) rooms are not isolated at street side. It feels like sleeping ON the street. Impossible not to wake up at 5h00 in the morning. Quite effective if you need to catch a red eye flight

2) room are not cleaned. Oeps we forgot, but cleaning team is already gone...;do you need something. Can you take your towels yourself to the room?

3) breakfast at 10€. Nice cosy place, however very poor choice

Had the room 89 on 8th floor. Tiny room, when the sofabed was extended, the only way from the door to the window was across the bed!! Problem with water pressure that day. Helpful staff, very tidy and good breakfast buffet.

Wow, talk about a face lift for the Citadines Apart'hotel in Place Montparnasse! This Hotel offers you the possibility to stay in Paris and still feel you are at home because it gives
you all the amenities and accessories of your own house or apartment and you can fill your refrigerator with your favorite hams, cheeses, and fresh vegetables plus cooking for yourself on an electric grill or in a microwave oven. It used to be a convenient stay for me next to the Montparnasse train station which provides a direct link to the airport with no need to deal with taxis. On my most recent visit, I discovered that they had totally renovated the place with a spacious, bright colored lobby and 24 hour access to a free coffee and tea bar. There is also a small breakfast restaurant that gives out on to a patio with flowers and plants. The staff at the front desk are extremely helpful, especially Matthew, in explaining the conditions of your stay and supplying you with a state of the art security key and a code to the complimentary Wi-Fi. Unless Paris is invaded by popular salons, seminars, and conventions which jack up the prices of the entire hospitality industry and fill the rooms city wide, you may be able to obtain a good promotional rate at Citadines Mont-Parnasse.

Used with no value for money from most of the 3 star hotels in Paris, I had a nice surprise with this apart hotel. First the location is within walking distance from Montparnasse train and metro station with good transport links everywhere. If you prefer you have another metro station 30 seconds from the entrance (Gaite).
The hotel is extremely clean and personnel very polite and helpful. They will extend their due diligence and offer to help (book a taxi or restaurant for a certain time, keep your luggage – I was impressed that the lady at reception took my laptop in her office from the luggage room for safe keeping).
Rooms are fairly small and a bit unusual that you do not have a bed, but an extensible sofa. Anyway the sofa is comfortable and easy to extend. There is a good size bathroom with shower and complimentary toiletries and also a kitchenette with everything you need (including a fridge where you can keep your cheeses you want to take home from France). It is value for money for Paris, so try it with confidence.

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Nowadays an important Parisian business area, the 14th district is not short on charm. Citadines Maine Montparnasse Paris is set in the heart of this atypical location where former 20th century artists' studios rub shoulders with major shopping centres and skyscrapers that exemplify contemporary architecture. But the 1920s are really not far off. The brasseries and artists' cafés of Montparnasse, so reminiscent of that lovely era, are still to be found and perpetuate that oh-so-special atmosphere. Your serviced apartments hotel is exceptionally accessible, not only for travelling within Paris, with the Gaîté metro station just a stone's throw away, but also for heading off to explore other regions of France, with the Gare Montparnasse railway station in immediate proximity. Whether you are just passing through or staying for several weeks, your Apart Hotel will be an ideal pied-à-terre. Our reception staff are on hand at all hours, day and night. A private car park for average-sized vehicles (charges apply) is also available. During the Roaring Twenties, Montparnasse was the artistic heart of Paris. To understand the district's golden age, head to the Cité des Arts museum, far from the hustle and bustle of the street. But you'll still find artists there exhibiting every Sunday on the Boulevard Edgar-Quinet during the creative arts market. And don't miss the Cartier Foundation and its contemporary art collections. In the evening, take your pick from a choice of performances in the many theatres or take in a film at the local cinemas. Apart'hotel Citadines Maine Montparnasse Paris offers both traditional rooms and fully equipped serviced apartments, from studios for two people to family apartments for four occupants. The latter include a fitted kitchen, satellite TV, complementary WiFi, and views of either the inner patio or the Avenue du Maine. Whether you are travelling for business or pleasure, enjoy a wide range of à la carte services - including meal delivery, daily housekeeping and dry cleaning - to ensure your comfort and independence. ... more   less
