Friendly hotel. Stayed in family room on 1st floor which was a good sized room. Double bed and pull-out sofa for kids. Clean and bright. Bathroom sliding door broken so difficult to close so not great, we were only there for 3 nights so didn't complain since not a huge problem for us. Great shower. No noise from lift although next to the lift. It was rather hot, ok with windows open but then noisy from busy road. Not safe for little kids to keep windows open since windows close to floor level. Traffic noise not really a problem when windows closed unless sensitive to sound.(only muffled noise then throughout night). Breakfast very good. There was a pop up bar at night, the guys running it were very friendly and kind to the kids. Gave the place a bit of an atmosphere. The area felt safe at night and lots of restaurants in the neighbourhood. Close walk to Gare du Nord and Sacre Coer, as well the nearest tube stations very closed by.

No AC in the entire building. Stayed 3 nights in late May/early June in 80+ degree weather. It's hard to sleep in the humidity and the heat, so try to open the window - you will hear the cars passing by all night long (and day) on a very busy street of rue la Fayette and people talking loud and laughing while smoking cigarettes at downstairs bar until well passed midnight. Building is horrendously insulated and sound proofed even with the windows closed. If it wasn't for the nice gesture from the reception who changed our room to the one facing another building behind the rue la Fayette for one night, although tiny, we would have had checked out sooner with the worst nightmare story to tell. Pics are deceiving as you'll be imagining a nice park view out the window, but in reality, you'll never stay in the room to enjoy the view because it's so dang hot otherwise too loud.

Its pretty hard to find a really nice 3-star hotel in Paris... I mean, its loads of them and the question is how to pick the right one in a good neighbourhood... Well, this little charm bomb is my personal favourite so fare; its as said small (18 rooms or so), its coloured by a charming design (white surfaces mixed with natural wood), smart solutions (makes the rooms feel huger than they actually are), good beds and most of all; brilliant service!! The hood is good (pretty close to Opera, Garde du Nord and Rue Martyr), I wanna return for one of the absolutely best 3-star deals in town!!

Room Tip: Backyard rooms are really quiet

My wife and our adult daughter spent four nights in early march at this nice hotel. Good service, clean room, nice bed, nice breakfast and big bathroom. The hotel is a short 10 min walk from trainstation Gard Nord. It is situated perfect in central Paris. If you like walking you can walk to all interesting areas in central Paris and the metro is not far away. .

To say this hotel was a disappointment would be an understatement. It was unfriendly, pokey and quite unlike the pictures we had seen online. We booked a "superior room" and paid extra for it. If this was superior, I dread to think what non-superior rooms were like. I could hardly walk between the bed and the window, the first night we stayed the central heating was not working and we froze. We had requested a room with a bath - no bath only a shower. Nowhere to sit together in the room - we had to request another chair in the room. There is no lounge or bar in which to sit and relax. The so-called "Buffet Breakfast" is a disaster: a very surly individual in the corner of the room looked up from his laptop just long enough to fill a bottle of cold water, or point at a thermos (!) of coffee. The receptionists were far from friendly and helpful - in fact the only person to smile at us at all was the chambermaid. The lift (in a five story hotel) is just big enough for two adults. The windows do not keep out the incessant traffic noise from the street. If you take my personal advice, don't stay here.

Room Tip: Go to another hotel
