We consulted Trip Advisor looking for a hotel close to Gard Du Nord and came across this one. The reviews looked very promising and when we arrived the reviews were fully justified.

The hotel is situated on a side street which consists of some small shops and resturants. The staff on reception were very polite when we checked in and provided us with a sheet of recommended restaurants and other useful information.

We were allocated room 602 which overlooked the courtyard garden at the rear of the property making it nice and restful. The only critisism of the whole stay would be the size of the room and bathroom. However it was adequated for the amount of time that we were staying in Paris.

We used the Hop on Hop off bus service which is handily situated at Gard Du Nord. This took us straight to the first stop at the Eiffel Tower.

Sacre Coure and Montmart (what a beautiful place) is only a 15 minute walk away from the hotel which makes this an ideal base to visit any part of the city.

The Bar Tender in the Hotel Bar was very friendly and nothing seemed too much trouble.

Breakfast was taken either inside or outside depending on how busy they were. It had a pleasant array of food ranging from fruit and yogurts to cerials and a few cooked items. A great start to the day. The waiting staff seemed a little disorganised at times but it didn't spoil anything.

All in all this was a great little hotel in a great location. We would definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: Room 602 was small but quietly situated overlooking the Courtyard. Air conditioning was a bonus. Toi...

Located on a lively and friendly street in the centre of Paris, near the grands boulevards with a delightful little garden to the back of the hotel. Friendly staff, impeccably clean and reasonably priced.

Room Tip: Best to ask for a room to the back.

A three night stay in July 2012 was made very easy with the friendly help from staff and the location was in a very pleasant suburb with parisians all going about their business.
The Cadet stop on the Metro at our doorstep, made travelling around Paris a breeze. With a couple of changes, it is simple to get to the Palace of Versailles un aided, and it saves money by doing it yourself. Getting to Giverney to see Monet's garden, one must be aware there are only two train times in the morning.ie 10.20am and 12.30am.It took aproximately 40 minutes just to get the ticket. Hotel staff arranged taxi's when needed.although if possible, it is best to avoid using them. Traffic moves slowly, and, accidents can hold you up, or, force long detours to your destination. if it is your first trip to Paris,a good way to see all the important sites are to hop and off one of the open air buses that stop at all major tourist attractions. there is usually a bus every 10 minutes and one of the stops at the Opera house is a short walk from the hotel. There are lovely street cafes close to the hotel where you can eat typical french cuisine and the shopping is ample. For serious fashionistas, Gallaries Lafayette is also not far away.
We were very happy with our stay at Opera Cadet Hotel

Room Tip: Rooms are a moderate size which is typical. As the hotel is in a side street, not too far from a maj...

Hotel reminded me of where students would stay. We were not pleased with the location of the hotel or the basic rooms. The bed that my friend had was tilted. The small staff were extremely helpful though. The breakfast was decent.

We stayed at Opera Cadet for 2 nights in June, 2011. The location is very convenient, about 15 mins walk from the Louvre, and withing walking distance of the Opera. The metro station St. Lazare is just around the corner. The hop on, hop off bus tour stops are also right around the corner. The hotel can arrange private guided tour of the city covering Montmarte, Notre Dam, etc - we found it a nice way of orienting ourselves with the city. The staff is very helpful and will be able to recommend tours and make reservations - overall we had a very pleasant stay at the hotel. There are a number of restaurants in the area, with Asian, Middle Eastern options as well. Taxi ride from the hotel to the airport is an approx 55Euros.

We had a very pleasant stay for 5 nights at Opera Cadet in June. This was a good place to stay as it was very handy to the metro and busses, to take you to the Paris highlights. It is also a short taxi ride to two major train stations, Gare de Nord and Gare de Lyon. The front desk personnel were professional on check-in and provided great information for a first time visitor to Paris. Good breakfast, clean rooms with comfortable beds, wifi and a good bathroom. The small street outside provided great food alternatives for lunch and dinner with plenty of other options. We purchased a typical French lunch the days we were out sightseeing for great value. We will definitely stay here again next time we are in Paris.

Very nice hotel. Clean and comfortable room. Reception staff very friendly. The hotel is on a small street with patiesseries/bars/fruit stalls/small supermarket etc and most of the surrounding streets are the same. The locals shop here so you feel you are in the 'real' Paris, not a tourist centre. The Metro is just round the corner and the Garnier Opera house and Lafayette Centre within ten minutes walk. Overall great location.

Only criticism is that the breakfast choice was very limited but still found enough to start the day.

Room Tip: Take your own hair dryer - the one in the bathroom is the old slow on the wall variety
