“Room OK”
Reviewed November 15, 2012

Room was Ok. Bit small, but adequate. Toilet was very small, and almost impossible to sit on the loo. Air con unit was very noisy. good value for money and great location. Great budget room. Staff where OK. Breakfast was good value, plenty of it and tasty for what it was. Would use it again.

It is so funny how the Ibis Hotel can be so different. This one is just ok. The room is small, it does not seems to be new, the breakfast was good, the staff was also ok. The location is very near to Sacre Coeur and about 10-15 min walking from the Gare du Nord.
It is not more than the average and don't pay too much for this hotel because it is not worth.

If you're occupation is swinging cats around for a living then don't expect to be able to practice it in these rooms. They are VERY small including the shower space which can be tricky for larger framed people. The room size is just enough for your purposes - no more (although perhaps that is normal for Paris).

Otherwise, the hotel is what you can expect from an Ibis. Quiet, clean and efficiently serviced although a smattering of French language will prove useful at the reception. We always seemed to encounter a 'trainee' receptionist whose English skills were minimal (surprisingly so for a tourist hotel in a major city).

The great thing about this hotel is its location. Right on the main street of Montmartre, a few minutes walk from either Anvers or Pigalle Metro stations and a tourist information booth outside Anvers Station where you could book just about anything except the Eiffel Tower. Sacre Couer Cathedral is about five minutes walk behind the hotel.

We found that the Ibis chain was good value for the high prices in August! even better than some of the hostels in town- and much more comfortable. Friendly staff and the breakfast was amazing but only of value if you are willing to eat all 9 euros worth of food. Very convenient near two metro lines. Will definitely look at staying at Ibis next time we are in town.

This hotel is in a good location, very close to the metro. My bedroom, on the 7th floor was a bit small but enough. The bed was not confortable at all. That is the only shame about it, to be on a break when tot wake up with bad back because of a bad mattress. In my opinion, I think it is a bit expensive what it is.

Positive points during my visit:
Nice staff and front desk attention.
Good cleaning and cleaning service of the rooms.
Nice location in Central Paris.
Value for money.
Points that can be improved:
Shower ceilings and curtains since they were out of shape.
Bigger beds (specially for couples).

Next to metro Anvers just 100-150 meters. Metro pigalle is also near by - to be precise hotel is between both these metro stations more closer to Anvers. Rooms are smaller (compared to IBIS at st charles, Marseilles) and lift very small. Rooms were neat and clean, AC n wi-fi worked fine. Only complain was hot water would not last long.

Location is a stealer, just step out and there are plenty of restaurants open till late night. Shops selling souvenirs are open till 11-12 midnight as well. Sacre cour basilica is a pleasant walk and moulin rouge is not far away.

If coming from CDG airport would need to change 2 metro lines. I booked the hotel just a week in advance and paid on the higher side.
