“NOT worth it”
Reviewed January 12, 2013

We all know Paris is expensive, but this Ibis is quite expensive for its location and services offered. I would definitely not stay there again. Above all, there is nothing worth visiting in the 18e arrondissement.

I stayed with my wife and other couple in this Hotel for 5 days (from 28 December 2012 –02 January2013.
Upon our arrival in CDG airport we took a taxi (4 persons 40-45 Euros) to Montmartre.
Stuff from the front desk was O.K. .They speak English and give us some directions about our visits.
They were very pleasant and I think that hotel is lucky to have them.
In our room and the lobby we had free wired internet connection that worked o.k.
Rooms are very small. Cleaning was O.K. (only one towel) but you can ask in the reception and you with have another one with no problems.
Breakfast not too many choices but O.K. for 3 star hotel.Hotel is near the metro station (200m) Place de Clichy .There is a mini market (10 m) ,so you can by drinks and other things .They work until 23h.
Tourist attractions.
You better get a 3 or 5 days ticket and you can use it in metro, bus or any public transport. If you want to visit Versay or go to the airport in your way back than I will suggest to by ticket for zones 1-5. (cost around 50 euro for 5 days).Tickets available in the machines in metro .Because we were in high season (New Year) we waited for 3 hours to buy tickets for Eifel Tower.(8.5 euro for the second level)Same was to visit Louvre museum.(11 Euros).
Versay Chateau was beautiful, but no flowers, so that place must be visited during late spring or summer.
Eating in Paris is very expensive. It depends from the place and the district .There are many restaurants that have very nice food and good wines. A beef steak is around 17-22-27 Euros depending if you have a view of Eifel or similar attraction. Beer (25 cl) around 4-5 Euros for domestic one “1664”.
Don’t miss to visit Montmartre which will give you a feeling that you will never forget.
Have a coffee in one of many restaurants near the place that they sell pictures.
Hope that those facts will be helpful for trip adviser members and other readers.

We managed to check in early as our rooms were ready. Such friendly staff and they could not do enough for us.
The first room i was in really smelled like stale cigarette smoke even though i was on a non-smoking floor. I asked if we could have another room and they did not bat an eyelid.

It was a very clean room, very basic. And very reasonably priced.

The location is brilliant as you are on the doorstep of Montmartre and the metro is less than 5 minutes walk.

I would recommend to anyone on a budget that did not plan on spending much time other than sleeping in the room. You cant go wrong!

Room Tip: I asked for a larger room.....they are all pretty much the same, but you can ask for one overlooking...

Typical Ibis hotel located very close to Montmartre and a metro station. Clean and nice. Staff speaks english and is really helpful.
The breakfast is good but you can get the same for such money in the nearest Monmartre cafes.

Room Tip: I'm sure they are all practically the same but the garden view would be better than a road view.

Great location in Montmartre, close to subway station and a bunch of really nice restaurants, very close to the Moulin Rouge and other attractions... Decently priced and great staff! They also had no problem storing our bags in a safe behind the front desk (just for a few Euros)!

This is the third time we have stayed at this hotel and if we're lucky enough to go to Paris again there is no doubt this is where we would stay. It's location is perfect ; if you're using CDG airport you simply jump on the train to Gare du Nord, walk through to Metro line 2 and jump off at Place de Clichy - so easy! The staff are great, rooms overlooking the cemetary are the ones we go for, all-you-can-eat breakfasts, minutes from Metro station and Moulin Rouge and Sacre Couer - what more could you ask for?!
