the prestige rooms are very pleasant, with a view on Paris roofs, and a few extras (expresso coffee machine). Beds are ultra cumnfortable. The restaurant looks like a canteen but it is under renovation and should look better soon. Good value for money

We stayed here for 3 nights . We enjoyed walking to the Sacre Coeur as well as the cafes and shops on nearby Rue Joseph De Maistre and around Place de Clichy. The 95 bus stops directly in front of the hotel and is an easy and quick way to get to the Louvre. You don't need to buy bus tickets beforehand and can simply hand the driver 2 euro/person when you board the bus.

The ongoing lobby renovation did not affect our stay as we did not hear any noise in our 3rd floor room. The room was clean, no frills and a reasonable size. We enjoyed the pancakes, fresh fruit and croissants at breakfast. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Had a most enjoyable stay here for our first trip to Paris,Hotel is situated very close to the Moulin Rouge so suggest you book seats for this as it very easy to walk to the venue, lots of great restaurants up the hill to the right, seems to be a great place to meander and soak in the atmosphere. The hotel room was spot on, the breakfast was a bit basic but plenty of eateries within walking distance, no need to starve. The metro is close but we walked down to the centre and even Napolians tomb from the hotel.keep going downhill till you get to the river you can't get lost, then head back up to the Sacre Cur great landmark,

The lobby of the hotel looks like a metrostation in state of renovation. The valet crew seems to be lost since their working space is reduced for 90 percent. Check in has not been renovated since 1982, the last time they renovated the hotel. There is an computer at the lobby but you have to sit on a kind of child seat and everybody can see which internet sites you are visiting. The second half of our stay somebody changed the keybord settings so you can not consult anything. The breakfast space is also completeley outdated. You have a surpirsing alternative at the nearby Mc Donalds : great and diverse breakfasts at half of the price . On the positive side : the elevators are great and the rooms can do. Good location. But why not consider the completly renovated Ibis next door. We stumbled in by accident. Supermodern with a great service. Once the renovation completed Mercure will be great. But I strongly advice not to go to this hotel in 2013.
