“Good price, location and facilities.”
Reviewed March 30, 2013

We chose the hotel based on price and location and were not disappointed. A short walk from Blanche (itself very easy to get to from Gare de Nord) and easy to locate. As a few others have also discovered, there was an upgrade on arrival to a room on the 8th floor which had a reasonably good view across the rooftops of Paris. The gentleman on reception was warm and professional. The room itself was good-sized, nicely decorated and clean. We had some complimentary drinks and a coffee-machine. Chose not to have breakfast because of the price, and to be honest, because we fancied a big lunch! Although hotel lacked charisma we had no issues and would definitely choose again if staying in that area of Paris. In terms of location there were dozens and dozens of good bars, cafes and restaurants close by.

This was a very nice hotel in a location that is located in the Montmartre section of Paris. The rooms were clean and looked great, the staff was friendly and helpful, and I really enjoyed the breakfast offered by the hotel. I was very pleased with my stay and I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is traveling to Paris.

We bookd the 'privilege room' which had a great view of Paris - can recommend that if you have a little extra budget. On the top floor, low noise levels, occasionally you could hear the crazy traffic below. Clean and decent size room, with complimentary coffee and soft drinks. Staff was friendly and helpful enough. We didn't have the breakfast (over priced in my eyes) and there were plenty of places to eat in the area. The location was good for us: just on the edge of Montmartre, with a metro stop nearby. Would happily stay again.

Dear TheHague,
Thank you for your pleasant comments about your recent stay in our hotel.
We suggest two diferent breakfasts. The first one is an all you can eat buffet which suggest hot food, viennnoiseries, organic food, breads, hot beverage, fruits, yogourts, cheese or ham.. And the second one less expensive than the first, is an Express breakfast which suggest pastries, bread, hot beverage and orange juice. This way we hope to meet all expectations!
We will be pleased to welcome you again at Mercure Paris Montmartre.

Just returned from a weekend at the Mercure Montmartre and can honestly say that it was a perfect place to stay in Paris,my wife and I went to Paris to celebrate her 40th birthday and when we arrived early on Friday we were allowed to check in a few hours early and were given an upgrade to a privilege room from a superior by the very polite and helpful kalil (in fact every member of staff we met all weekend were extremely friendly and polite) ,the hotel room was a good size with a huge comfortable bed, modern plasma tv ,super coffee maker and a fantastic view of the Eiffel tower and other landmarks,a metro station is only a short walk away(place de clichy)the line intersects with nearly all the other lines to bring you to the sights of Paris, the Montmartre area itself was a great place especially at night with lots of restaurants to cater for all tastes, plenty of bars with good drink prices(€4 a pint happy hours) we enjoyed corcarans Irish bar which is only a 2min walk away.overall I would recommend this hotel to anybody who wants to visit Paris,we can't wait to stay there again....Thanks

Our second stay in Paris and picked this hotel again, booked through booking.com at a rate of 230EUR (pre-paid) for 2 nights in a non-smoking superior room. Good size, good location for everything as there is a metro station a few minutes away, tea/coffee and mini fridge in room, comfy beds - our room was a few floors lower than last time and traffic was a bit more audible, but it did not disturb at night at all which is the most important thing for me. Bathroom very swish, nice design details. Staff are friendly if a bit slow - I think they should employ an extra person to handle bags etc at reception as this was the main thing slowing down the service.

I might look into staying somewhere else next time just to try a different place but I would definitely recommend this hotel as comfortable, a bit fancy, value for money and a good location if you haven't visited Paris before.

Well located hotel in north Paris. Convenient for Montmartre , Stade de France, Pigalle and quite easy to get to city centre and River Seine by nearby Metro (Place de Clichy) or on foot. Very comfortable, clean and efficient hotel if a little impersonal. Lots of cafe/bars and restaurants around the area - some very touristy but look about and good places/value can be found.
