Fantastic location! This is the only reason I am giving this hotel 2 stars. Per the website, the minibar should be included AND you are to receive a free bottle of champagne on the first night. There was no bottle of champagne given to us at any time during our stay. Furthermore, the room’s minibar is in fact not included and we were charged DOUBLE for two bottles of water. When asked about the price, Nicolas, the front desk attendant, informed us that that was an ‘old advertisement’ and that now the hotel charged by the bottle of water consumed. The rooms are a little outdated and very small. Buyer beware. We will most definitely be returning to Paris, but will NOT be staying here again.

Dear guest,
We thank you for having taken time to share your experience with us. We deeply regret that your recent stay at the hotel Claridge didn’t meet your expectations. For your complete information, the minibar has never been included in our offers and the package you have chosen to reserve includes accomodation and breakfast only. We are sorry again for this misunderstanding that we have explained to you at the check-in. Regarding the bottle of water, a complimentary one is offered the arrival day. For any extra bottle request, the minibar and the room service are available but you will understand that it’s a paid service. We hope you will give another chance to the hotel Claridge in case or your travel leads you again in paris.
Sincerely yours

There is so much to like about the Hotel Claridge. Situated half way between the Arc de Triomphe and the River Seine near the Eiffel Tower it’s close to several great restaurants including Chez Andre which has been operating since 1936. The hotel itself is both elegant, with large rooms, some with small balconies over the street scape and friendly. The staff were most welcoming on arrival and did a magnificent job in finding us two taxis when we left by rail on the day Paris came to a standstill when most of the metro staff went on strike and taxi companies were not answering there phones and Uber drivers just cancelled on us after putting back their arrival times several times. The action of the staff in hailing cabs way down the street was typical of the attitude they had throughout our stay where nothing was too much trouble and was handled immediately whether it was a request for an ironing board or arranging for the laundry to be done. We didn’t avail ourselves with the breakfast that is offered or drinks in the small lounge simply because of the wide variety of choice within the immediate vicinity. The beds are comfortable and the showers have strong pressure and easily regulated temperature ( although ours was over the bath). The chocolates left with the turn down service are to die for. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and have vowed to return if we are in Paris again. The only down size is people with mobility problems would struggle. However to be fair to the hotel they acknowledge this on their web site.

Hotel Claridge was the perfect place for me and my mum and sister to stay while we visited Paris. The hotel has beautiful decor and is kept very clean and tidy. From the moment we arrived the staff couldn’t have been more helpful, friendly and welcoming. In particular the receptionist made us feel totally at ease and we asked several things during our stay and all the help given was brilliant. He was funny and friendly and excellent at his job. Breakfast was delicious and English are well catered for as well as others. Hotel Claridge really helped make our stay in Paris so perfect. I would highly recommend and I hope to return one day!

We recently stayed at this hotel. It's in an excellent location and the staff are excellent. There's a few nice little touches, such as staff turning down your bed on an evening & leaving chocolates on your pillow whilst you're out. Room was cleaned every day. Breakfast was good, but could be improved. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

We loved our stay, Claridge is a superb Hotel, not huge, just perfect for an intimate introduction to the wonderful Latin Quarter, a short character filled walk to Champs Elysees, Arc de Triumph and the fabulous Paris Metro. Spotlessly clean, elegantly presented and wonderfully warm and friendly front of house staff. We loved our room, large, well equipped, superb period touches and everything worked. The morning coffee by the glass front dining room and lounge were memorable not just for the faire, but the passing parade of oh so chic Parisians. Well priced for its location and amenities, we would choose to stay there again.

Room tip: A street view, will bring Paris noise to some extent.. Lift convenient, but the staircase must be enjoyed for it simply exudes history.
