My friend and I stayed here for two nights on a last-minute Eurostar deal. The location is fab - it's a five minute walk to Notre Dame, the Sorbonne, the Pantheon, etc. The street is quiet and pleasant considering how big it is by British standards. Parisians have a bad reputation when it comes to hospitality, but we found the desk staff were very friendly and helpful, and really seemed to appreciate our efforts to use our extremely limited French. The room was small and basic, but spotless and smelled nice. The sheets were clean and the small twin beds quite comfortable. There was a telly with some English language as well as French, German, and Arabic tv. The room had no view, but had windows on either side onto light wells, and good ventilation as well as a very effective airconditioning unit. There was a reasonable shower over the bath, though no shower curtain, and a very clean bath. All in all, not luxurious, but very good value compared to other capitol city hotels I've stayed in for the same price, and excellent location.
