This hotel located off the centre of the Champs Elysees means that you are in the heart of one of the busiest tourist areas of Paris, with Arc de Triomphe 5 minutes walk and Place de la Concorde around 15 minutes walk away. Although this means that you are close to tourist attractions it means that you are also surrounded by tourist priced restaurants and bars so I would recommend that you try to seek out other places to eat and drink that are not on the Champs Elysees.
For the hotel itself, the room was a good size, clean and had a large bathroom with a separate bath and shower which was nice. The room was nicely decorated, but it looked down in to the atrium of the hotel and I missed not having a view of the city and not having any natural daylight.
I wouldn't describe the room as luxurious - there were a couple of tea bags and sachets of coffee and some powdered milk for making drinks but no complimentary bottled water or biscuits, which would generally be found in more expensive hotels.
The breakfast was OK, the usual continental breakfast offering. On the first morning we were not offered any tea or coffee and the staff appeared largely disinterested in providing a service. We did manage to get a pot of coffee on the second morning and it was very good. However, be warned, the bar in the hotel is very expensive if you decide you'd like a cup of tea or coffee. We ordered 2 teas and 2 coffees and it cost 26 euros- eye wateringly expensive!
The attention to detail was lacking in this hotel - we arranged a late check-out, only to return to our room at 1pm to be locked out of our room as they had not ensured that our key-card was amended after the standard check-out time. Our friends on arriving in their room were faced with dirty towels and a shower which flooded the bathroom every time they showered.
This hotel was booked for us as part of a business trip. I wouldn't chose to stay here - there's far nicer areas in Paris and with better service which I'd choose to spend my own money on!
