Stayed with my granddaughter for 7 days and had the most wonderful time. Staff is wonderful and made us feel special and safe. Room was not large but nicely furnished and the linens and comfortor were as white as snow. I missed the hotel and staff from the day we arrived home. can't wait to go back. Had so much fun and wouldn't think of staying anywhere else. this is a trip my granddaughter and I will never forget. Food was great and Thierry and the bar staff were memorable.

We travelled to Paris with our 2 children for 4 nights in September. Our stay at Hotel California was great. The hotel has great service with very helpful staff, and was very clean. The shower was awesome! It was quiet and we felt safe. We had two rooms together so that we would have enough room to sleep well after the flight from Canada. It was expensive to have the two rooms but worth it, so that we could enjoy our long days of sightseeing in Paris! The Italian restaurant that is a block away from the hotel is amazing! Overall, we were very pleased.

I've stayed here before actually and went back as prices in this city are absurdly expensive. Nevertheless the room is small, amenities are subpar the bathroom and furniture are old but it's a good location and staff is friendly. Unfortunately as I was checking out a tour of elderly people just arrived so check out was a nightmare and they had only two people to handle it ! Never ate there as breakfast was expensive and went to cafe across the street for eggs and coffee at one half the price! Ordered newspaper but they never delivers it! Lastly they had construction going on and started at eight AM, called four times before it stopped..for twenty minutes then it resumed!
Same thing next day but this time when I called front desk said,,oh it's not so early? You kidding me!! Nice of her to make that judgment! I called customer elation a who were kind enough to send up a bottle of wine. Nevertheless......
Would only go back if they had a fire sale!

I had been that hotel for a training. During 3 days, lunch and snacks they served ( such as macarones, cookies, muffins) were very delicious. The rooms are bigger than the average Paris Hotel rooms and also it was so clean. The location is excellent and the staff is very helpful. I highly recommend this hotel both for stay and to arrange training & conferences.

I just got back from a three night break at this hotel. We booked through a third party website and when we arrived was very disappointed to find that we were in a room that hadn't been renovated for a number of years (if not decades) and bared no resemblance to the rooms shown on the hotels website. Don't be fooled by the plush reception like we was!! We were part of a large group staying in the hotel and found that all of the 5 rooms we had booked (located on the 1st floor) were in the same worn state. Our shower is in desperate need of upgrading and when we tried to use it at 5.30am (we were catching an early train home) we discovered that the water was cold. Now I don't know if this is something the hotel does to keep their utility and water bills down but at that time of the morning all we wanted was a nice warm/hot shower to wake us up! The rooms were small, but we'd expected that. The air conditioning didn't work and although it was around 5 degrees outside at night, the room was still baking hot. We stayed in room 115 and attached to this room is some sort of utilities room and approximately every hour (even throughout the night) there is a very loud noise of what sounds like a toilet flushing and refilling - which woke us up every time without fail. It sounded like the toilet was right next to our bed! We've come back from our stay more tired than we went - do not stay in this room!! Drinks from the bar and mini bar are horrendously expensive. I appreciate that Paris is an expensive city, however why not offer guests staying at the hotel a discount at the bar. The only bonus to this hotel is the location. So, in summary if you can sacrifice the above for a great location than this is the hotel for you (but don't stay in room 115).
