I stayed at Le Royal Monceau for the first time in November and I was blown away by how stunning the hotel is and what marvelous service they offer. The rooms have so much attention to detail and are beautiful. Location is great, as its only a 5 minute walk to the Arc d'Triomphe. The staff was so helpful and attentive and really goes out of their way to make you feel special. The hotel certainly isn't cheap (25 Euro for a cocktail in the bar), but if you can swing it, I highly recommend this place.

Was recently at the Le Royal Monceau as well as Le Meurice. I have to say that in almost every dept, LRM won hands down.

However, I had dinner one night at LRM and whilst the rest of the hotel staff (from doorman to reception to concierge to lounge staff) were top notch, the restaurant staff left a lot to be desired. Service was slow at times, warm items served somewhat cold and generally just disappointing as we had come to expect brilliant service from the hotel.

Outside of that, nothing I can complain about. Rooms were great and there was always service with a smile (much more friendly than Le Meurice where some staff greeted you in a morning with a dour stare).

Stayed for a weekend with friends. The room and hotel design is great, the rooms do have a little too much "stuff" in them though so they feel crowded and tight....a bit over designed. bathrooms are great and the bar area and lounge area fantastic. I normally stay at the Georges V but the bar is dark and small and the lobby is too huge to enjoy - here the bar area is cool and relaxed and the restaurant/lounge area is bright and comfortable. Great breakfasts. Service from reception and concierge all great. Had treatments in the spa (clarins spa) and they were fantastic - will go back just for the spa!) For the price, this is definitely a better option than Georges V or Hyatt. Only downside is the location is not perfect but this is manageable for the other benefits.

I have stayed several times in this hotel since it opened, after some fine tuning the first year and thanks to the new management team, this hotel became the best place by far to stay in Paris. Location is perfect, installations are brand new, technology is there, service has reached the highest standards, spa is great with a big swimming pool, food is delicious, and now NOBU is there, the bar is becoming one of the trendiest...and all this is priceless, i can tell you.
Next time don't hesitate, you want to experience Paris at its best, start by choosing the ideal place to stay...

In October my fiance and I stole away to Paris to elope. We searched extensively online, viewing nearly every luxury hotel in Paris, Versailles and even as far as the South of France. We finally decided on the Royal Monceau. It's unique style, mixing modern design with classic French was perfect for our wedding, it was chic and modern, but not so much so that it felt out of place in a city as classically beautiful as Paris.

The staff were incredible, we took advantage of all facets of the hotel, from room service (several times) to the long bar, pool, spa, massage as well as assistance from the wonderful concierge team, one of whom helped a very nervous groom (me) tie his bow tie as his own hands were far to jittery.

We were treated phenomenally well, no request was too big or too small.

Our room was spectacular, we had a beautiful balcony and a view of L'Arc de Triomphe. Bathrooms were incredible, double sinks, a large tub, even the toilets were something to rave about - heated, with built in bidet, autoflushing, the lids would automatically lift and close as someone entered or left the bathroom. This goes to show that no detail was overlooked. The bed was extremely comfortable. Entertainment system fantastic, with the ability to connect an ipod or laptop so we could provide our own soundtrack.

Finally, another word on the staff. Amazing. You could not walk through the hotel without hearing "bonjour" from each and every staff member, whether it was a maid, a repairman or a manager, everyone greeted us with a smile every time. We truly felt at home in this beautiful hotel.

Thank you so much to the staff at the hotel. You made our elopement absolutely amazing.

My wife and I hosted a group of 9 for 9 days at LRM in August in honor of our 20th Wedding Anniversary. The group ranged in age from 1-89 and so did the needs, interests, tastes of the group.
In every regard, LRM and its team reach a level of quiet, classy, dignified and efficient excellence that sets the standard for five star travel worldwide. The rooms are stunning, the food superb, the service unequalled. Special mention must be made to Laura, Margaux, Christophe, Carl, Richard and Jose at the Concierge desk. While my wife and I and some of the group had been to Paris before, they helped us make the very most of our visit.

Mr. Starck's design work in breathtaking..even for him! Together and on our own, we will seek reasons to visit Paris often on the road of life, if only to return to LRM.

All our best regards to the Team. We will pass our thoughts on to the folks at ALTOUR and my friend, travel journalist and author Peter Greenberg.

Friendly informal check-in and tour of hotels facilities. The room was
gorgeous, in my opinion a wonderful piece of design. The whole hotel has a
great vibe about it. With the feeling of a country house within the heart of
Paris.

Spa, pool and gym were amazing. One of the most beautiful pools I have seen
in a European hotel. The gym also fantastic.

The restaurant was decadent, we went for brunch which was an event in
itself. Designed for 'Glutton' himself. To be fair the quality of ingredients
are superb and you can't help but releasing your belt buckle.

1st class location, hotel and management - I want to live here!!
