“Decent hotel”
Reviewed July 8, 2012 via mobile

We stayed here in early July for 3 nights. The hotel was in a good location, around a 10 minute walk from brochant or porte de clichy metro stations. Rooms were good and cleaned everyday. The hotel was clean and staff were helpful. My only complaint of this hotel was the fitness facilities. Firstly the pool and steam room were out of order during our stay. As this was the main reason for choosing this hotel this was very disappointing. We also found out whilst there that there is a €5 charge per person per day to use these facilities. As this was not advertised when we booked, this was unacceptable. Overall, the location and cleanliness was very good. Staff and value were average and the disappointing side, the facilities.

We spend one night in this hotel. The room and bath were small, but clean. In the hotel you can leave your luggage in storage room which is payed. Best thing for the hotel was its location. The metro station is 3 min walking distance and bus stop is 4 min. The only thing I didn't like is that you have to go around until reaching the entrance of the hotel.

we travelled to this hotel from manchester for one night. we arrived in paris early and got a taxi from the airport to the hotel, it cost about £35 and took about 15-20mins. we checked in immediately to our 9th floor room (i had rang the day before to request a view of the tower as it was my birthday) and we had a got a great view which was a bonus. We ventured into the city centre by taxi as we only had a day and wanted to see as much a possible, the receptionist rang us a taxi, it cost around £15 to the Eiffel tower. The room had a great view of the tower at night but was difficult a nice picture without the cranes in the way!! I have to say we didn't feel the area around the hotel was particularly safe and again we got a taxi to the restaurant there and back for this reason. Im not sure we would recommend this hotel, it wasnt as central as we thought, the room was dark, old and was quite noisy. On the plus side, the receptionists were helpful and im sure when the building site is finished, the view of the tower at night will be perfect

Room Tip: call beforehand to request view of the tower

We stayed here for nearly a week during our last holiday in Paris
The hotel is near the metro station and it's very clean. The room was confortable and newly furnished
Breakfast was not included but just round the corner there is a wonderful boulangerie where you can have coffee and fresh pastry
We had problems with the electronic key but they were quick in solving it
The swimming pool was fine, a good choice for the rainy days
All in all I will come back and would suggest it to friends

Ok, so it's the IBIS not the Shangri-La, so what do you expect?

The hotel actually has a cafe, two bars and a large restaurant, with I think up to 9 floors of accomodation.

Typically IBIS the rooms are small, but functional, and reasonably well decorated, the shower worked well and the bath was big enough to get into without too much bother (sometimes a problem with hotels who have short baths)

The restaurant food was a good value buffet, and the bar was well stocked and reasonably priced.

Located close to the RER and Metro this hotel is in a part of town that's being built on, so watch out if there are going to be any construction works nearby if you are a light sleeper, or if you fancy a lie in!

Facilities were pretty good (including a gym and pool) and the hotel spotlessly clean with friendly staff.

Breakfast was a buffet arrangement with a bit of a free-for-all, but the staff kept things regularly toppped up and the food seemed fresh and satisfying.

Alll in all great value, the rooms are a little small and noisy however!

Near RER & Metro. Helpful front desk and available wi-fi. Computers available at the Lobby for free. Breakfast foods are not good and not so fresh. Pls add international foods since you have mix market clients.

If you have seen one Ibis, you have seen them all. The Berthier is conveniently located near a Metro station which brings you comfortably to the city center. The 17th district (Place de Clichy) is very attractive for tourists with lots of shops and restaurants. The hotel itself is bare bones. Breakfast is decent, provided you can get to it: the hotel is mainly for tourists, and they tend to take breakfast by busloads. The internet connection is free and unreliable. It was impossible for me to hook up to the company PVN because of issues with security certificates. The hotel also is a bit noisy, with guest returning to their rooms well after midnight. The hotel has a swimming pool and fitness which I did not use. In short: not really a hotel for a business stay.
