First impression was wow! The interior design is wonderful - luxurious yet contemporary. Reception area is very small, but there are renovations taking place (note this was quite noisy one morning and it disturbed our sleep).
The room was a fair size for its superb location, just a stones throw away from the arc de triomphe, where we caught the metro everyday.
The hotel is probably more suitable for couples looking for a romantic stay in Paris (mirror on the ceiling above the bed).
For a 5* hotel I would've liked better service - we ordered soft drinks at the bar to take to the room, I was happy to wait and carry them myself but the barmaid insisted it would be brought to the room - but this took over 25 minutes, the bar was very quiet and we only ordered soft drinks so I don't understand the delay.
It also took much longer than expected to check out due to another guest's query, but we had to wait for this to be resolved before being seen to - there should be someone else on hand to help in that situation.
Also for 5* I think it should've included English speaking tv channels.
The bathroom was small, but the shower was very spacious.
Overall it's a great hotel and I would definitely consider staying here again.More
