We spent 2 nights with my husband and 2 young children 10 and 6. Beds are comfortable with coffee / tea facilities in room. Breakfast was very good with a balloon clown for the kids. Metro/train just across the road which gives you easy access to all parts of Paris.
Overall a comfortable stay.

This was my first time in Paris and the feedback that i had from my friends + the hotel reviews that i read in general made us do a lot of research before we finalised on this Novotel Les Halles( first choice but was not available on our dates) and this one. This had the best reviews in similar category hotels and i can say that it lived upto the reviews

The location is right next to Gare DeLyon Station / i.e connectivity to TGV Lyria, Metro and RER all available next door. You can take the metro/RER line to go directly to Concorde, Louvre or Champ De Lysee (takes 15 mins by metro). You need to change lines to reach the Eiffel tower though. It is also very convenient if you are taking a train to Switzerland fom Paris. Taxi / Cab from the airport should cost between euro 55 / 60

Plenty of good restaurants nearby so food is not an issue. The service staff was quite friendly and nice and did their best to serve with a smile. Wifi is free and they have 2 desktop stations with printer facility set in the lobby for the of the guests

Now about the rooms - remember this is Paris not Singapore or Hongkong so do not expect hotel luxury at euro 225 / night - so rooms are okay and so is the overall property.

Overall is I would rate this as a pretty good choice to stay in Paris

We booked two interconnecting rooms, both doubles with a single bed and travel cot. We arrived at midday and the second room was not ready on arrival so we waited in the lobby and had a drink; 45 mins later it still wasn't ready. We firmly complained as we had three children under 4 and grandparents and without fuss or argument they offered to refund the price of one room. The rooms were spacious, clean, quiet and comfortable and they serve one of the best breakfasts we have ever eaten. Staff courteous and kind and our only regret was that due to coming back from a different railway station is that could not stay there on our return leg.

As were going to visit Paris-Lyon-Paris so had booked this hotel on the way back from lyon as we had to fly home next day. The hotel is next to the train station so it was comfortable to travel with 2 pc of luggage. The hotel has store room so you can keep your luggage with them.
Hotel is close to the metro, bus station and taxi station. Air france bus service from CDG stops near this hotel in interval of 30 min and cost is E 17 per person per way and if you buy Round trip then its cheaper..its approx 29.
If you gonna stay in Par for more then 2 nights then will not recommend it as there is no much options for eatery and shopping.
Its a clean , normal city hotel but the hotel has fitness and pool which is unusual for Par hotel.
Nothing wrong with the room - u will find every thing u required. The toilet is very compact and not inside the main the bathroom. The only problem which we faced was the time of check in, our reception (short, tiny french gal, can't recall the name) was very rude. We arrived at 1335 hrs on the day of check in after traveling from Lyon, we were very tired with luggage etc. She was nice and friendly in the begining but once the lady knew that we had booked the room through travel agent (which was not cheap, we had paid nearly 180 euro for room only)- she told us to wait till 1400hrs as the room is not ready. I told her to atleast check us in and we will wait in the lobby till 1400hrs but she refused that she doesn't know, which room we will get.
We waited in the lobby and she was giving rooms to others while we were waiting.. Only 5 min to 1400hrs she came to us in the lobby and said that the room is ready and we can check in. During our check in, she is telling us to book with accor website for the points etc.. baiscally she was telling us that we should only booked with the accor website for quick service.
Beside this we didn't had any problem.

Room Tip: Avoid the rooms facing towards the train station.. the view is ok but once u open the window u can hear all the noice of the traffic, horns etc.

Dear Guest,
Thank you very much for taking the time to write such a detailed review following your stay in my hotel.
I sincerely regret that the check in formality was so unpleasant for you and please accept my apologies. I have allowed myself to pass on you comment to the reception teams, reminding them that all our guests deserve the same kind of attention.
I hope you will still consider the Novotel Paris Gare de Lyon for your next trip to Paris.
Kind regards,
Jean-Jacques Bruyand, General Manager
