“Nice location for hotel”
Reviewed April 10, 2012

There is a nearby Monoprix supermarket, about 5 minutes walk along rue du bac. walking distance to the Louvre. The lift though can only accommodate one person with a midsize luggage.

nice breakfast good view of the city. BEDs beds are incredibly uncomfortable. not pricy. great location. tv only has 1 English channel. rest of the TV channels are European. very small lift very fun to bounce on. rooms aren't too small has hot water in a very nice bathroom but is small. some toilets have a hard time flushing so you have to push very hard on the button that flushed. I wouldn't recommend bouncing on the lift because the lift wire can snap (assuming). metro station very close to the hotel so you can get from station to station and place to place very easily. there is a very nice chocolate and wine shop called Hugo and Victor near by (5 minutes). the pharmacy is right down the street and there are plenty of others around. overall okay.

If you are searching for a small hotel, reasonably priced, but without any trimmings - THIS IS IT! Nice breakfast, served on the 7th floor rooftop restaurant. Lots of nice restaurants within walking distance and a Metro on the doorstep. We could hear the rumble of the trains, but not enough to disturb us. Our room (24) was quiet and overlooked a somewhat drab inner courtyard, but didn't worry us as out most of the time! A tiny lift takes you up to Reception on the 1st floor and we found it quite a hoot when the nice lady, serving breakfasts on the 7th floor, had to ring down to the ground floor to get them to rush out for more rolls etc - They were sent up in the lift (by themselves of course!) to the cheers of all in the the people waiting! All the staff were very friendly. Will go again, as such a great area and walking distance of everything worth seeing!

This is by no means a luxury hotel, but what it does, it does well. It's a 3 star hotel by name and by nature. I was worried about a couple of reviews and photos on Tripadvisor about the cleanliness, but needn't have worried. The room was large, spotless and the bathroom was very clean. Pleasantly surprised given the reputation of Paris hotels).

Didn't get to check out the roof breakfast bar, but I'm told it's great view. The walls are thick, meaning youre not woken up by cleaners/other guests at irritating times.

The location is fantastic. St Germain is an expensive and posh part of town but still within easy reach of all eating and drinking areas. The hotel is 10 minute walk to the Louvre, 15-20 minute walk to Notre Dame, 10 minute walk to the riverbank, 10 minute walk to St Michel and the Latin Quarter and where you can't walk, there is a metro right outside the hotel.

In the high season, the hotel may be a little pricey for a 3 star, but I was there during off peak at the height of the cold sna so I got a great deal (half the price of high season).

The receptionists were very polite and helpful too - a refreshing change from some hotel staff in other Paris hotels.

No compaints, if you get a good deal, by far the best value for money hotel to stay for location, service and comfort.

the best location for Parisian sight-seeing. Opposite the Metro. Gorgeous terrace (the breakfast was MORE than adequate). Room not very big but who goes to Paris to sit in their hotel room? Double-glazing means it's very peaceful, even in such a hub location. I'd def recommend this place. The only downside was staff trying to charge me a FULL day's fee for checking out 35mins late. Merde! They settled for E50. Otherwise no complaints!
