Hotel very well located, near subway station and boulevard Montmartre, an avenue full with shops and restaurants, close to Printemps and Lafayette galleries. It's very easy to walk to some of the most important monuments like Arc du Triumphe, Louvre or Champs Elysees.

The hotel is very beautiful with it's modern decoration, the rooms are spacious and clean, like the bathrooms. However, there are some problems, like the housemaids that make a lot of noise very soon and walk into the room to clean it, even when there are persons inside, the bedrooms corridors are very dark and the shower is open. There are no door or curtain, and the bath water go all to the bathroom floor.

The breakfast is very good, with fruits, cereals, cheese, sausages, but when the scrambled eggs are finished, you have to wait a long time for new eggs. And there aren't crepes or nutela, which are very typical in Paris.

There are free wireless internet in the bedrooms, and a free bussiness center, where you can use the computers and printers, but the internet service is very slow.

The staff is attentive and efficient.

In very many ways a perfect hotel - location great, staff very helpful and friendly, bed comfy and room very quiet, good bathroom, nice breakfast buffet. Lovely sitting area downstairs and free wifi. Price good for central Paris. Only reason for no fifth star is that the lift/corridors are gloomy and dark (3 sec delay on lights too long) and the room decor is a bit monochrome/industrial. Perfect for an active out-and-about break in Paris but not a romantic stay-in-the-room location in our view. If you're here for culture and seeing Paris (which is truly magical at Christmas), stay at the Pulitzer every time. If it's your first romantic weekend away, there may be more suitable choices ...

Room Tip: Rooms at the back are as quiet as can be - heavenly. We stayed in 512 which was great.

This was a hotel found my chance. Its a brillant location. Close to the opera district and not far from main shopping area of Rui Layfette. Walking distance. We walked during our stay. I would defiantely stay here again. Very impressed.
Room size was big enough. Decor was nice. Clean room. Reception area is beautiful.

Nice hotel, very good location! the rooms are a bit small but the hotel is very nice with a delicious breakfast and beautifull decoration we stayed her for 5 nights an everything was very good but.........the door make a lot of noise when you come in to ypur room you need to open one door before you oper yourroom door so in the morning you hear a lot of noise from other guests and the cleaning ladies. Overall we enjoy our stay at the pulitzer. Hope you can do something with the mechanism that clos automatically the doors because of this is the slamming doors noise.

Now. This is a difficult review to write. I stayed with my wife for 3 nights at the Pulitzer and we walked away with different conclusions. Without resorting to gender stereotyping, I'm guessing that this may not be a unique response to the Pulitzer experience.
Let's start with common ground. The hotel is well-located in central Paris in a part of the 9th arrondissement that is well-served by bars and restaurants. Considering the location, it is remarkably quiet and tranquil. Our room was on the 3rd floor and we both had 3 nights of completely undisturbed sleep in a very comfortable bed with efficient air-conditioning: these are attributes that I never take for granted in a city centre. The bedroom was small but not unduly so for central Paris at this price.
Our differences focus on the decor. The main part of the bedroom was functional white with black 'industrial' furniture - rather 'single bloke with limited imagination' but basically fine. Don't turn up with 2 weeks' worth of luggage because closet space is very, very limited. My wife likes a carpet, though, and the grey screed floor (again, very functional) scored 'nul points' with her. The bathroom can best be described as 'prison chic'. I can't fault the plumbing or facilities contained within it but the grey/black daubed walls were - ahem - unusual.
I rather liked the public rooms downstairs - a comfortable bar with big leather sofas with a touch of the Raj about the ambience.
Service as friendly and sought to be helpful - though our towels disappeared for a day and took some chasing before being restored.
In summary, I enjoyed our stay and I thought the hotel provided reasonable value for its location (but, then, I need my sleep and my mark is highly influenced by the outstanding success of the hotel in enabling this!)

I love the hotel decor! It's like staying in somebody's apartment. You enjoy spending time in the common areas. We really spent our night in June 2010. The area is very central. Rooms a bit small therefore it seems a bit pricey. Nice breakfast.
