I booked the hotel with a daily deal website and it turned out to be the most amazing bargain, our price included breakfast, 2 days stay, glasses of champagne and a trip on the Seine, all for £199!
(the prices per room per night are well above this!)

We arrived early and our room wasnt ready for us, but the kind staff kept our luggage, and we set off to explore, we came back about 4 hours later and our luggage was in the room, and we were given instructions to call front desk whenever we wanted our champagne, which we did, it was a lovely touch!

The room was amazingly well appointed, twin beds, extra pillows and covers in the room, the bed was remarkably comfortable and my sister and myself slept fitfully, abit too fitfully, we actually overslept for checkout on the second morning, and we were given a little extra time free of charge to get ready.
There is a mini bar, and dressing table, and the housekeeping service is spot on.
The bathroom is a wet room set up, large with lovely toiletries, and fresh towels everyday.
the staff are very helpful making sure you know where you are going and that all the amenities are pointed out to you to take advantage of. We didnt have breakfast but saw it, and it looked lovely, we just werent ready on time!
Upon leaving the hotel again stowed our luggage, and when we returned several hours later for our airport transfer, i found in a shopping bag items i had left in the room unknowingly - velcro rollers and my passport!! which i hadnt even realised i had left! Like i say, awesome housekeeping staff, they didnt even tell me personally, this is the staff - descrete, wonderful, and absolutely no fuss made about anything.
The hotel is located on a quiet, quaint little street accessed through an arch, with local parisians living right accross from the hotel, one apartment was having a party, it looked awesome, was very loud as the strret is narrow in width, and alot of fun, when our windows were closed we couldnt hear a thing, so it was no problem. there are many cafes and food places along the street accross from the hotel, and a little supermarket open until 3am, great for provisions for your room, just incase you dont want to pay 7euros for bottled water from the minibar.....

My sister and i wandered around a little lost looking for the metro, the hotel is basically between two stations, but the closest is Bonne Nouvelle, which seems to be well connected, all you have to do is walk through the arch, turn left, walk up towards the cinema at the top of the road, go left again and you cannot miss it!
We found the metro at first a little overwhelming but once you get your tickets, and complete your first jouney, its really a breeze, and very very quick and efficient for getting around Paris!higly reccommend, as taxis are extortionate! They charge by length of time in the car, not how far you go, and Paris spends a long time gridlocked, save yourself time and money, get familiar with the metro!

All staff members in the hotel were lovely, very reserved which appears to be the Parasian way, but by no means rude in anyway, anyone we spoke too always exchanged plesantries and made sure we were ok.
this hotel is an absolute gem, well located within the 10th arrondisment, with polite and helpful staff and lovely comfortable rooms and amenities. It was an absolute pleasure to stay here, and would be a pleasure to return, which my sister and i intent fully to do.

Room Tip: we had a ground floor room, which was fine, just dont get changed with the windows open or people wa...

This is a very nice hotel in a quiet little street whilst being close enough to all the local amenities. There are a good range of cafes and restaurants only a few minutes walk away. There are 3 metro stations within a few blocks of the hotel. We arrived at 10 at night and were greeted by a very nice concierge who gave us a map with all the major attractions on it and also all the metro lines which was very helpful. The room was more than adequate and the ensuite shower room was lovely very clean and modern. The housekeeping was very good with the bed being made and the towels changed for clean ones everyday. The only negative for us was that we booked late and were given room 12 which is on the ground floor close to reception and the breakfasting area which from about half past seven onwards got quite noisy with guests and also housekeeping. Would definately recommend this hotel and would go back but not to the same room upstairs would be better

We just spent two nights at Hotel Windsor Opera and had a lovely time. Our room was modern, clean and quiet. The staff were great, especially the gentleman on the desk with the amusing sense of humour. The immediate area is a bit seedy, but we never felt unsafe. Restaurants, cafes, the Metro and many of the key Paris attractions, like the Louvre, are nearby.

Booked via email, all smooth and easy to do. Rooms were lovely and clean, breakfast was better than expected, typical continental breakfast plus a hot selection. Loved the quirky entrance. Staff couldn't have been more helpful. Will come back again.

On our travel agents recommendation we returned to Hotel Windsor Opera having honeymooned there five years ago.The property has undergone a fabulous refurbishment, our room had a delightful modern decor, plenty of space and a generous bathroom although we did not quite "get" the rocket theme in the lobby and breakfast area (quite tasteful though) The breakfast was great, including a hot option. The location is brilliant, an easy walk to the Louvre and many other central attractions and the underground just a few steps away. The stay was sadly blighted with the loss of €110 from my wallet. Whether we did actually lock the safe or not, the fact is that my wallet was in the safe, and the money "disappeared" during the afternoon/overnight of our stay. While we were having an afternoon sleep after our flight from Singapore, a staff member entered our room - for what reason we have no idea, nor have we been provided with one. Management were concerned I guess, but in no way apologetic and made no attempt to track the staff member who entered our room (they assured us this could be done) So a sad end to our stay at the Hotel Windsor Opera and Paris, the City of Love

Here is what happened, not the afternoon of their stay but the very next morning after these guests checked out :

At the moment they checked out, the reception clerk told the head housekeeper that the room had checked out and he then went to check the room which is the traditional routine in a hotel. He called right away the reception to say that guests had forgotten 2 jackets in the closet. He was told to take them down and to put them with the luggages clients left at the reception.

Clients came back about 20 minutes later saying they forgot things in the safe. They were told about the forgotten jackets which were carefully stored with their luggages.
The head reception clerk reencoded a new key so clients could go and get what they forgot in the safe. Clients came back down 5 minutes and opened a document folder with passports, flight tickets and vouchers and counted the cash at the reception. They then said that there should be a total of 500 euros but 110 euros were missing ! They said that the safe was open, which was not noticed by the head housekeeper ( the safe door was probably shut but without being locked). Clients did not ask to speak with either the head housekeeper nor to a manager (I was in the hotel). They were also suggested to go to the police station to make a report but dit not go to, as far as I know.

However this is what they told us:
- "We do not recall whether we did lock the safe or not".
- "We may have spent the money yesterday but we do not remember".

We were sorry about the fact that they were disappointed, but because they were so unsure about their safe being locked or not and if they did spend the money or not, we did not know what else could have been done.

As the owner of the hotel, and to answer to those very serious matters, I do confirm the following three important points :

First information: Nobody entered their room between their check in the day before and their check out the next morning : it was a one night stay and they did not ask for room service or turn down service.

Second information: The only person whom entered the room was the head housekeeper immediately after their check out, which is the normal routine : which is useful to find out about broken items in the room, if clients did take something in the mini-bar but didn't say so, or to notice forgotten items (two jackets this very morning).

Those first two points are definitely confirmed by the electronic lock records of this room.

Third information: Among the hotel staff, only two persons know the emergency code to open a safe : the head front desk clerk Greg (who has been working in the hotel for eight years) and me.

It is sad to read about such matters regarding guest who kindly chose the WhO for their honeymoon, and then chose it again five years later... Nevertheless, my staff and I hope to have the pleasure to welcome them again in the future.

Booked a long weekend in Paris in this hotel not knowing what to expect. As Paris hotels often have small rooms, except for the very expensive hotels, we booked a superior room. We e-mailed in advance to confirm our booking and received a reply almost instantly, which was reassuring.
We had a warm welcome on arrival and, whilst the lift is tiny, to say the least, the room was bright, very clean and had a great bathroom. Well worth the extra! One small issue was that there was not too much room between the edge of the bed and the flat screen TV on the wall!
A buffet breakfast is served in a small area next to the lounge area. It gets very busy so turn up early! However, the choice, and especially for France, was better than expected - scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, sausages that we didn't try! But there was a small charcuterie, croissants, pain de chocolat, jams, cheeses and fruit juices. Very decent coffee was served in a jug and fresh food was quickly supplied when the original ran out.
There is a small room service and it is not as expensive as some hotels in Paris.
The weather was so hot - 40 degrees when we left and the hotel and its' rooms were well air-conditioned.
Some might find the foyer a little interesting - if that's the word! Highly polished parts of planes and even a spaceship adorn the foyer. It is a comfortable area but it is not one of those let's sit and read and doze type of areas. But, like the rest of the hotel, it is extremely clean and well kept.
The hotel served our purpose very well indeed and this was in no small part to the receptionists, who speak English well enough. They ordered taxis, recommended and booked tables for us in restaurants and generally looked after us. Merci mille fois!
Finally, the hotel is in a quiet side street with the Metro just a 5 minute walk away. It's also on the edge of the 9th. arrondissement, and with line 9 at the Metro, many of the attractions in that part of Paris are easily and quickly accessible.
It's a hotel that I'll gladly use again when in Paris and is recommended.

Room Tip: It's Paris, so, upgrade for a bigger room!!

My boyfriend and I have just got back from a trip to Paris. We couldn't have been happier that we chose the Windsor Opera Hotel for our stay.
We arrived before the check in time of 2pm, however the staff were more than accommodating with our luggage, they even suggested places for us to go and things to do before we were able to check in.
I'd read a few reviews from people saying the location wasn't great. This was not the case at all, there were several metro stations within 10-15 mins of the hotel, meaning that getting round the City was extremely easy. And there were loads of bars and restaurants only a few minutes away. The staff were extremely helpful when it came to sight seeing, they gave us a map and highlighted all the main attractions, and told us roughly how long it would take to get there on the metro.
The hotel itself was spotless, had great air con in the rooms, served a fantastic breakfast and was quiet in the evenings.
Would recommend this hotel to anyone, especially couples for a romantic break away! Would stay again :)

Room Tip: We stayed in room 13, on the ground floor. Regardless of this it was extremely quiet. Looking at the...
