I stayed for 2 nights for business in this hotel offering good value for money and conveniently located between Trocadero and Arc the Triumph, both within walking distance. Tube station 2 mn walk. I was in a newly refurbished Prestige room, very comfortable bed, good use of space, nice clean bathroom with separated loo. Wifi a bit slugish but fine. Staff friendly and smilling.

We have been coming to this little hotel for the past ten or twelve years or so every mid-March because it is very close to where I have a couple of days of meetings. We usually stay a week and find it is a convenient location for pretty much the whole of Paris since it is virtually on a metro line and only a couple of hundred metres away from Etoile and Trocadero. We have seen the rooms being refurbished over the years and that has made some good improvements. They are all large enough, with desk and table and chairs - and some have decent enough views of the Eiffel Tower. The staff remember us when we come and the whole place has an almost comforting air of familiarity. The prices are still reasonable considering it's Paris. The lobby is not so convenient to sit and meet or wait for colleagues, but that is not really a problem. One thing we like is the great big wide staircase (the upper floors now painted white instead of the black). The high definition TV is great - though the BBC has been dropped in favour of France 24 in English (not of course the hotel's fault.) There are plenty of nice little bistros and restaurants around both for lunch and the evening meal - many of them have free wifi these days (like the hotel). The accompanying photos were taken from one of the rooms we stayed in.

We ended up here accidentally but it was a great discovery on this side of Paris near the Arc de Triomphe in the 16th arrondissement. We stayed for a week. The rooms were well appointed, quite clean, free wifi (although somewhat balky w/ Skype - better from the lobby) and the staff was great. It's a small quiet hotel, folks have said the decor was dated but frankly I thought it was high French & I did not think it insulted my designer sensibilities, I've been in worse Hiltons in the states. Our room on the second floor could have used additional lighting but the bathroom was very well lit. We had the hotel breakfast one day and it was fine but there are enough shops nearby to have breakfast on the go. Our room did have occasional odd odors upon arriving at the end of the day but opening the French doors on the Juliet balcony solved that problem. For the price and cleanliness and convenience we'd stay here again.

Room Tip: Some rooms have two balconies, might go for those.

Stayed 2 nights because of friends living across the street in february. Convenient location for us and most tourists. Rather quiet and safe area. Decor is ok, mid tier, dated, but not disturbing. Room on second floor, probably not renovated was ok, bed normal comfort, bathroom with bath and typical horrible plastic curtain which inevitably will stick to your body when taking a shower. Reception lady not very nice; although explaining numerous times that wifi was not working, she kept repeating that it always works....sigh...at the end of our stay, she did tell us that the wifi did not work....sigh twice. No sign of compensation or excuse. Breakfast was french, basic with croissant and baguette and good jam. Fresh nespresso coffee maker was continuously broken down. Would not return, but its not a bad hotel.

Newly renovated room with all you need on space and quality. A small but great detail, an extra sliding door to isolate the bedroom from the hall and the separate wc in the same. One of the best bathrooms i've had in Paris with modern spacious shower and generous twin washers and a big dose of daylight. Everything 5 star quality. Very big room for Paris and I could stay there easily for a longer period on a business trip. The whole hotel was well heated (almost too warm in the cosy breakfast room) and is to recommend during winter visits in Paris. No bar or restaurant, but who needs that when located between the trocadero(Eiffel tower) and Arc de Triomphe...only 10min walk in either direction. Next weekend for me and my wife in Paris will definitely put it up as first choice given the great online price I got.

Very comfortable rooms at this hotel. They have just renovated the place.
The elevator is old but works.
The stais have history.
French breakfast in a cozy breakfast room.
A perfect location.
Good restaurants just around the corner .
I will return!

I have never stayed at this end of Paris and thought we would give it a try. The hotel was easy enough to find and two stops away from the Arc de Triumph. For Paris the room was a decent size, and the bathroom was adequate, but the decor was a little dated, black and red fabric on the walls, giving it a gloomy appearance and it was not helped by the terrible lighting. Full length mirrors, but in the evening you could barely see yourself. At the weekend we had a very poor selection of restaurants as most were closed. But we did get plenty of exercise walking the length of the Champs de Elysees and down to the Louvre, it is all down hill. Three stars is a proper rating.
