Don't let 4 stars bug you. We came with 2 other couples and one of them picked this place. It was really reasonable for Paris and we ordered online and got a balcony which was very romantic to sit out and drink champagne on, and we were next to the other couples rooms so we all sat on our balconys and pretended we were neighbors in paris. The staff was helpful, spoke great English, and the room was tidy and clean everyday on our return back before going out for dinner. We walked to the Eiffel Tower and rented the bikes off Velib.Fr and rode them all over. It is only 4 stars because of the average room. Stay here, we would again.

Room Tip: book online and get a balcony room on the 5th floor

A good location, lukewarm welcome - not the friendliest reception staff. The room was spacious - a real treat for Paris! The decor wasn't very jazzy. Lots of great places nearby for breakfast.

Very convenient to numerous sights, restaurants, shopping, all transport in Paris. We spent 4 nights and enjoyed our stay! Great, friendly, helpful reception. Free internet/computer. Nice sized room, at least for Paris, with balcony, but no view to speak of. Room well appointed with period furniture..made you glad you came to Paris! Nice bathroom. Elevator a bit small, but appropriate for a boutique hotel. We didn't eat breakfast, but it appeared to be above average. They gladly gave us hot water so we could enjoy coffee in our room. Look for Facebook discount! High value! Will definitely stay here again when in Paris! GREAT FIND!

Room Tip: Don't forget to use their Facebook discount and book early. We were upgraded because we did!

I really can't add much to other recent reviews. The location is very central and a short distance from both Kleber and Victor Hugo Metro stations.
Friendly welcome, we were in room 223, originally in 220 but we wanted to change room type and the lady on reception changed us without question.
The decor was older fashioned but very clean and the bathroom has been refurbished in the last couple of years. I think the first room would have been a bit quieter as it was on the side street but as it's a city centre hotel you have to expect some street noise. The room comes with a safe which is an essential addition in my book.
There was always hot water and plenty of towels, there were also spare pillows and blankets. A double wardrobe and lots of drawer space. The TV. was a bit limited in choice of channels for the English speaker but you don't come to Paris to watch TV.
The room also has a mini bar / fridge for your convenience.
We did not eat at the hotel as we were out most of the time, as we arrived later in the day, on our first night we ended up having a takeaway pizza, got a good deal (Bogof) at the Speedy Rabbit Pizza a couple of hundred yards away on Kleber. We are not big Pizza eaters but the quality was really very good.
We were able to check out and leave our bags in a room behind the reception as our flight was later in the day
All in we had a very enjoyable stay at the hotel and would stay here again.

Room Tip: For a quieter room I would ask for one on the side street, Rue la Perouse. The largest rooms seemed to be on the corner, going by the diagram on the fire escape plan.
