“Very nice small hotel near Porte Maillot”
Reviewed April 19, 2013

The hotel is a small boutique style hotel. Very friendly, with a relaxed atmosphere. There is a small lounge, bar and breakfast area on the ground floor. It is nicely furnished in a modern style. The bedrooms vary quite a lot is size, and the small ones are pretty small (although not unusually small for Paris). The bathroom was very small and needed a degree of agility to use the loo! However it was well fitted out and adequate with nice toiletries. The room was quiet, although some noise could be heard from neighbouring rooms.

Breakfast (included in our rate) was typical Parisian - not much choice but excellent bread and croissants. The lift and stairs are quite small and this is the only fire escape route, so for safety consider a lower floor.

There was reliable free wifi.

We have stayed at Hotel Duret twice, and will be staying here again the next time we visit Paris.

The hotel is fresh, clean and modern and the room we stayed in was a decent size, the beds are really comfy.

The hotel staff were all very welcoming and helpful, and the hotel is in a great location, in a quiet street with a supermarket, pharmacy and a great little bakery at the end of the street which is always buzzing with customers and is very reasonably priced.

We had breakfast at the hotel the previous time we stayed but this time we forfeited the 20 euro per head brekkers and instead would buy a baguette from the bakery at the end of the street to set us up for the day (the hotel breakfast consists of breads, cold meats, cheeses, boil your own eggs, cereals, yoghurts, OJ, tea or coffee)

The nearest Metro is a 5 minute walk away - Argentine, and allows you to easily navigate your way around the main routes of Paris.

There are a couple of restaurants on Rue Duret which looked busy whenever we passed but we never dined there, we did some research before we went (aided by Trip Advisor) and made some fab reservations that were great value for money and great quality (Bistrotters and L'Ange 20) especially for Paris, as is Hotel Duret.

(We stayed as a couple, celebrating my Husband's 30th Birthday, our wee son was being spoilt by Grandma and Grandad back home but I would not hesitate to stay here with him next time we visit Paris.)

Room Tip: In general, Paris rooms tend to be tiny - we stayed in a deluxe room which was a decent size with be...

We stayed at the hotel for two nights. Our suitcases were lost in the flight to Paris, and stuff were very much helpful with the Air France problematic service. A small hotel in a wonderful location, just few minutes from the Arc de Triomphe. Good and clean rooms, though a bit small. supermarket, grocery store, patiserie and other very convenients stores around. Also good restaurants just across the road. Very good value for money

We had a lovely stay here over for New Years eve and a few days later. Its in a good location for the Arc De Triomphe, maybe 8 mins walk. There is a metro stop Avenue de le Grand Armee, and Rue Duret is a small quiet side street off this main road. There are a few little cafes and a bakery around Rue Duret, but we found that we spent most of our time in the 7th, and around the the Left Bank.
The rooms are small, but the bathrooms are surprisingly big. While the hotel is modern, it does have a very distinctive old Parisian feel to it. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel, there was a complimentary drinks reception for guests on new years eve which was nice, reception staff are nice too.
While we had a lovely stay, there are just as nice boutique hotels in better locations.

Spent 3 nights here in October, easy access to airport transportation, Metro for sightseeing.
Couple minutes walk to arc de Triomphe, and Champs-Élysées.
Lovely hotel staff. convenient grocery store on the next block. Highly recommend this hotel.

We booked the superior room so with an extra bed added for our son, it was still spacious enough for the 3 of us. I like that the bathroom is big. Location is fairly near to the champs elysees avenue. Standard amenities are provided. Wasn't pleased that no help was offered with our luggages when we arrived. We were recommended to a lousy restaurant with rude service & high price to match. Not pleased at all. Our room wasn't as nice as in the website picture although the lobby looks exactly like the picture.

I find this hotel average. Although it's a boutique hotel, I didn't expect cool detached service with bad recommendation. Hotel should put in more effort to research what they recommend to their hotel guests and be more proactive in helping their guests.

We stayed in Hotel Duret from 15 Aug 12 to 22 Aug 12...we chose this hotel post looking at its ratings in trip advisor and trust me the hotel deserves the high ratings...

Hotel has got awesome location... at a walking distance from Arch de Triumph (5 mins) and Champs-Elysées (10 mins) making it nice for night activities and walks. It is 5 mins away from Chales de Etiole station and 3 mins away from Argentine station which gives access to half of Paris. The hotel is off the main road making its near to all the activities as well as quite at night...closer to cafes, restaurants and carefourr gives u access to your meal needs...Also the location is safe..

People at the hotel are very cordial and helpful...I know we had nothing to do on last eve in Paris and the receptionist recommended us a place which really made our stay in Paris even more blissful...They even allowed us to cook food in their kitchen as we ate pure veg. The hotel is clean and well maintained...

I recommend this nice botique hotel to all and would definitely stay here if m back in Paris..Cheers!
