The Radisson Le Dokhan's hotel is located in an upscale neighborhood of embassies and beautiful apartment buildings, similar to Manhattan's Upper East Side -- lots of charming cafes, boutiques and food shops and the feeling that you're experiencing the city as a resident instead of a tourist (there are very few tourists in the neighborhood). The hotel is on a triangular corner just off Ave. Raymond Poincare, and the shape of the building adds to the charm (very few right angles in the lobby or guest rooms). The staff are very friendly and helpful (one even went all the way back to the rental car place where we'd left a sunglass case to pick it up for us!) The concierge is eager to help and extremely knowledgeable, especially about restaurants (all over Paris, not just in the area) and managed to get us a last-minute reservation on a Friday night (at the restaurant Jamin, which we also recommend, a 10 minute walk from the hotel), not easy to do in Paris!

The lobby is classically decorated and the intimate bar and breakfast room is very inviting (candle-lit at night). The room wasn't huge, but fine by Parisian standards, and the king-sized bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was marble and had beautiful, vintage hardware and was quite spacious. The windows were very large and sunny, and must be sound-proofed as we heard no traffic noise during the night.

It was easy to get to all sorts of places from the hotel (we walked to the left bank for dinner at Reed, also recommended) and a treat to come home to this peaceful neighborhood...

The Le Dokhan's Hotel is located in a fine part of Paris , ten minutes from the Trocadero , fifteen from the Arc de Triomphe and five from the beautiful Victor Hugo Square. The building sits on the corner of Rue Lauriston and is rather grand. The lift is interesting , it will hold four folk at a squeeze and wheezes upwards , the spiral staircase is the best way down . We had a business room on the fifth floor - the room is small but perfectly put together , our balcony had views of the top of the Effel Tower . The bathroom was fine for a long weekend , again rather small , but with a powerful shower , lots of fluffy towels and potions to make you smell good. there is Wi-Fi , however it was rather hit or miss. The staff were very traditional , dark suits and lounge jackets - very professional.

The Dokan is a great base to explore Paris - five minutes and you are at the Boissiere Metro on the Number 6 line - between Etoile CDG and Nation a good starting point for all parts of the city. Another big plus are the numbers of cafes and restaurants with 15 minutes walk , many being used by the locals who still live and work in this plush part of the city.

There are many hotels in Paris , we enjoyed our stay here - the room was quiet, the bed very comfortable and the location spot on.

Room Tip: Go high , the fifth floor was very peaceful.

Loved this hotel, its beautiful! In a very swanky area of Paris, the equivalent of Londons Mayfair... some lovely restaurants nearby, expensive but great food. Close to supermarket which stock beautiful delicaces, breads cheese and cakes that are out of this world. A short walk from Eiffel Tower or Arc De Triomphe. Breakfast is pricey, but the surroundings are exquisite and the fresh continental breakfast is beautiful. The room is small but delightful, the french really know how to do style!!!

Room Tip: Business class room is bigger with great toiletries and two balconys

This hotel is very convenient when you need to stay close to Trocadero, with clean rooms and very helpful staff. Nevertheless, some of the rooms are extremely small and there is obviously better value for money in the neightbourhood.

I was 'forced' to stay in this hotel as, during the Paris air show, nothing remotely close or price effective was available. So for €475 per night (unbelieveable price) I stayed here. Travel a lot for work (and will start to add more of these reviews) and this is by far the most expensive I have ever stayed in, jacked up the price purely based on demand. Now I know that is life, but for this near 150% increase on normal rates I would have expected a bigger room, with properly working wifi, this unfortunately wasn't the case.

Staff we extremely helpful though.

Room service, for €50 was pretty poor. Air conditioning didn't work at all.

Must do better.

Paid over $400 for a night in a room that didn't have air conditioning on a hot summer day, a leak in the bathroom, and the phone wasn't working properly. Room size is also no where near the 20 square meters advertised. When I asked to be moved I was told the hotel was fully booked and all they could offer was a fan.

The check-out staff the next day couldn't make any amends because they weren't empowered to do so and their only suggestion was to wait for the manager who wasn't going to arrive until after 9am. Absolutely ridiculous.

Me and my husband .spent at least two month choosing a hotel in Paris to celebrate our 25' year of marriage. It isn't an easy task because Paris is unique, but expensive. So we did a scoring sistem and 'The Dokhan's' fit it better for what we intended to do is not exactly cheap, but for this arrondissement it is ok. The room is very cozy with a very romantic and classic decoration. The service could be a little more warm, but it is very correct. They sent roses to the room in order to my husband's reminding.. The petite dejeuner is calm, fresh and atentive. The location is good , despite the more popular places are achieved by metro.the placê Victor Hugo is a good place to eat. Don't miss the chance of enjoying the hotel's champagne bar.
