We stayed here in May 2012. The hotel is in a good location, easy to find. We travelled from CDG airport via the RER train, only 1 change and straight into Nation metro station (major interchange), which is 5 minutes walk from the hotel. There is another metro station (Rue du Boullets) right next to the hotel so it was very easy to get to anywhere in the city.

We had a very warm welcome when we arrived. We had a superior room, which was excellent and located on the corner of the first floor (room 13). The breakfast room was in the basement, continental style breakfast which was very nice. Breakfast didn't seem to be included in room rates on all booking sites, but well worth trying to get a rate with breakfast included.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, rooms had wifi and ipod docking station, laptop available to loan from reception. They gave us restaurant recommendations, had a space to leave our luggage on the last day, and even helped my partner to arrange champagne and flowers in our room on arrival.

This hotel was excellent, very good value for money (we paid 160euros for superior room with breakfast), I can't say anything negative. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Room Tip: Ask for a corner room, superior room was worth the extra money, get a rate which includes breakfast

My boyfriend and I stayed here for two nights this weekend (May 2012) and were very impressed. The service at reception was welcoming and we were presented with maps of Paris and the more local area in terms of restaurants. We'd seen the other reviews so weren't expecting a big room and so the fact the room wasn't big enough to swing a kitten didn't surprise us - but for two nights this really wasn't a problem as the room was clean, nicely decorated and very comfortable.

The breakfast was standard continental - pastries, toast, cheese, ham, yogurt, fruit and coffee/tea/juices. I couldn't eat the pastries but was reliably informed that they were tasty.

The location despite not being 'central' was very convenient whether you want to walk or would prefer to take the metro. We walked to all the main sights on our first full day (although my feet felt the pain by the end of the day!) and then we caught the metro back to one of the two local metro stops to the hotel (served by different lines) which was useful.

Overall would definitely recommend the hotel for service (we were always greeted warmly when we entered and left the hotel), location, quality and value for money.

Tip: We went to Marco Polo for dinner which is on the roundabout that the Nation metro station is on and had a delicious meal - definitely recommend!

There's a reason why this hotel is ranked so well on TripAdvisor. From making our room available early because we were so jetlagged, to upgrading us to the Executive Suite for my birthday, taking care of our laundry (we stayed a week), giving great restaurant recommendations, lending a charger or umbrella when needed, and calling us a great cab to get back to the airport, they went above and beyond to make sure we had an exceptional stay. Neighborhood is great, lots of good restaurants nearby, 20 min walk to Bastille, close to a number of train lines, not much more you can ask for. There's a Marche Franprix a few blocks away for your supermarkety needs, a great stand by the train with fresh pain au chocolat, and I can't believe it took till the last day to recognize the lines by La Deliceuse--bought a box of fresh macarons to bring back to work the next day and they wrapped the box up for me in a plastic bag, the next day they were the talk of my office!

Like most have said the rooms are small but this was not a problem for a 3 night stay for me and my girlfriend! We paid £90 per night and thought that was a bargain for Paris and the location was perfect for metros to the sights! We arrived to and from the hotel from the airport on the Bus 351 which stops on the Nation roundabout 100 yards up the street. We slept very well in the comfy beds and breakfast was simple but nice. Everyone was friendly and helpful! We loved our first trip to Paris and would stay here again!

Room Tip: We stayed in room 334- floor 3 room 34. Side street and no noise from outside!

We arrived early in the day from a flight from Canada and found our room was not ready, however, the owner was very helpful - locked up our luggage in a secure room and gave us maps and tips on the Metro and where we could go for breakfast. Our room was great - a super sized bathroom for France with all the amenities. An in-room safe gave us security for our passports, tickets and money. A 24 hour desk with personable clerks gave us a sense of security. The breakfast buffet was exceptional and served typical continental fare. The bar fridge in our room was stocked with bottled water and a can of Perrier. This hotel is located very close to two major Metro stops. The neighbourhood can boast several cafes, patisseries, boulangeries and small restaurants. The street was busy but quiet at night giving us a peaceful sleep. This hotel's greatest asset is the staff - especially the owner Syid who takes a special interest in each guest and asks about his guests experiences in Paris. There is a small bar in the lobby which serves special coffees and liquor and a reasonable price. I would highly recommend this hotel to travellers!

Room Tip: They are all nice rooms - even the street side.

Can't rave about this hotel but can't really complain about it either. Rooms are not nearly as nice as they look in the photos, which are probably a bit old, though everything was quite clean and comfortable. The neighborhood is unexceptional, but quite safe and pleasant, and there were good restaurants in the area and excellent metro connections, including the number 1 line, close by. Vincennes is only a few minutes to the east, the Marais a few minutes to the west.

The staff was among the most helpful I've encountered in Paris.

A good, basic hotel at a good price.

We arrived at the hotel at approximately 1300. Although having advised that we would arrive at this time, our room was not ready yet. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful, explaining the metro system and giving us tips on where to go when. The front desk spoke fluent English, which was very helpful!

Hotel is situated a 2 minute walk from the nearest metro station, and a 8 - 10 minute walk from another one.

We had the topmost floor, and the room was very clean and tidy, albeit a tad small. However, it served its purpose well! We had a complimentary bottle of champagne in the room! Having stayed in the hotel for 6 nights we were given free laundry and ironing service (a huge plus!) B'fast was OK, not bad and not great. Overall, a good stay and would definitely recommend anyone staying there.

Room Tip: Topmost floor room was very comfortable!
