Good hotel if you're traveling for work. Nice breakfast and free wifi. Staff is helpful and always available. The location is good too in case you want to wonder around Paris. The Bastille area offers a lot of alternatives regarding restaurants and nightlife.

For those looking for a safe, clean budget hotel this is a winner. We stayed for 5 nights in total and found the hotel staff always helpful, informative and spoke english. located in bastille a short walk from breget sabin station on #5 line or a decent 30 min to the leuvre or notre dame. skip the hotel breakfast as there are a couple of great cafes close by. the bar downstairs is great for water or a late drink after a hard day sightseeing. the room is small, in particular the bathroom which is slightly bigger than an aeroplanes. it is cleaned daily, the tv is only in french but it is clean, safe and very convenient. it is great value for money for budget conscious who want to be in a vibrant and nice area of paris. we would stay next time we are in paris.

i think it is a very good hotel in paris if you are going on a budget trip... the hotel is very well located, 10 minutes walking at the line 1 of metro station that connects to all the principal atracctions...

our room was very quiet, always clean... not very large but beds are good and comfortable... sometimes in the hall we felt dampness but i think it was because the whole place is carpeted... the rooms doesnt have refrigerator or mini bar...

it is a nice neighborhood and has some nice bars if you wana have a drink at night

it has a supermarket near the area and several places that you can have a nice coffee and french croissant for a good price

i definitely go back :)

I booked a room in this hotel after spending a lot of time on the internet googling around.
I didn't want to spend much on the accommodation so this hotel was just fine, within the budget and good location too.
Pros: not very expensive, nice rooms (small, but then that's what you get in Paris), very clean and hygienic, daily cleaning of rooms and bathrooms, big lobby area and huge hotel, location of the hotel is 'very good'. Hotel is located on the Rue Breguet (road) in Bastille which is 10mins train journey (line 5) from the Gare-Du-nord international rail station. If you like to walk, then NotreDame, Louvre is a good walk from the hotel. As me and my wife love to walk, we went walking to the Eiffel Tower as well (7 kms from the hotel).
I didn't go for their breakfast package and was glad that I didn't do it. There are 4 bars/restaurants right in front of the hotel. There is a big supermarket very close to the hotel as well. Hotel staff speak English and helpful.
Cons: Bathroom is very small; when I opened the door for a moment I thought of having stepped in an airplane's washroom :). But bathrooms are hygienic and clean.
There is a small TV in the room which has got no English channels, everything is in French. There are no tea/coffee/drinking water arrangements in the room.
I had dinner only once in the hotel, and was highly disappointed. I didnt like the food, not many options. And there are NO options for vegetarians (well actually I didnt find vegetarian options in 80% of the restaurants in Paris); my wife being a vegetarian had a tough time.

TIP: If you like Mexican food, do visit Indiana Restaurant right outside the Bastille station. They have got nice vegetarian options as well.
Buy a 10 trips or 3-days train travel pass when you reach Paris, it is very convenient.

The hotel is very well located, close to metro stations and the Bastille area, in nice neighbourhood with restaurants and bars, although in calm street. Very good quality-price ratio. Rooms are clean. Not very large but beds are comfortable. Very good in its category.

Having stayed in two other Ibis hotels previously and found them to be an exemplary budget chain, I thought this hotel would be a safe bet.. How wrong I was.

To my count, the staff have now three times attempted to overcharge me for drinks. Bar staff being only too happy to poke fun of you, assuming you don't speak any French.

Room is tiny, but comfortable enough. But be warned. "do not disturb" means nothing to the cleaning staff who simply removed the sign from the door and barged in. Not good.

Food varies greatly in quality depending on when you check in. (forget chances of a palatable late lunch. Kitchen staff simply did not care, meal served lukewarm and burnt with parts missing) Hugely overpriced and as such, don't bother with the restaurant.

Bartender was too busy eating chips and chatting with his colleagues to even acknowledge me on one occasion!

Critically, the staff blatantly act with contempt towards a younger, English speaking tenant. Which has never happened to me before.

What a shame! Every other Ibis I've stayed in has been excellent.

P.S Internet connectivity is ok - so a redeeming point there. Otherwise, a hugely disappointing experience.
