This Hotel is made up in a series of buildings overlooking an internal courtyard, this looks all very quaint and you would think very quiet, unfortunately if your room overlooks the courtyard your sleep will be disturbed by the various noises coming from it. Our room (254) was fairly standard with a very nice bathroom, but nothing to write home about. Overall this property is a decent four star Hotel but in my opinion luck caracter. Very close to the Hotel there are several bars and brasseries where you can have breakfast or a meal at a very competitive price.

Room Tip: If you stay at this property make sure that your room does not overlook the internal courtyard.

Good hotel with good transport link. Rooms spacious and very friendly staff just one minor negative and that is that some items were not supplied in the rooms like a simple spoon for using when making your tea, however very good for a room only basis as microwave supplied in rooms.

The hotel is a fairly average Paris stay. Not a place you'd want to spend lots of time hanging around, but fairly adequate if your plans are more for a place just to kip down.

LOCATION
Clearly not the Marais. Not too far, but in an area markedly different from chic, bustling Marais. Be prepared to travel to any decent restaurants, cafes or attractions.

COMFORT
Clean. Not the nicest interiors, could do with a refresh, but nothing offensive.

STAFF
Adequate, if not entirely friendly.

AMENITIES
Bar pleasant. Outdoor courtyard private and pretty. Overpriced breakfast, we avoided.

OTHERS
Fairly thin walls so quite noisy.

We stayed because of a Eurostar offer. We wouldn't particularly rush back. Probably would prefer to spend a fraction more for a St Germaine room or a place in the Marais proper.

Cost us about 190 Euro per night for the room for three, booked about a month in advance through Eurostar website. Walking distance from Gare du Nord but you can also catch a bus number 65... We arrived around 2 pm and the room was not ready, so we spent about an hour having lunch in a nearby Italian cafe. Room was ready shortly after 3 pm. Nice and clean hotel but I guess this depends on a room you get. Ours was at the top floor overlooking inner garden, a bit dark due to the window size but very quiet and recently refurbished with handy little kitchenette. Air conditioning was a bonus. Did not try restaurant in the hotel - breakfast was self prepared with food from the local supermarket, had lunch and dinner elsewhere. Hotel is absolutely fabulouse inside but can’t say the same about surrounding area. Do not walk in the evening from Bastille tube station unless you would like to see and smell dozens of people sleeping rough on the street. Not the best metro line serves this particular area but this is something you can live with. Will probably stay again if we ever decide to go to Paris again.

We stayed here for a weekend (two nights) - the hotel is huge with various blocks arranged around a pleasant courtyard. The room was relatively small, but plenty big enough. Nicely appointed and comfortable. We paid about EUR 200 per night, which was a fair price by Paris standards. The hotel is about a block from the metro and a short walk from the marais/bastille. We didn't eat there.
