The hotel was in an excellent location for seeing Paris. The room was tiny but I am assured that is Paris. The room was clean and contained everything we needed the staff efficient and pleasant. The breakfast was good.

The hotel is well-located in the St Germain Des Pres area with loads of lively cafes in the area. Right by Mabillon and Odeon Metro stations it is easy to get around Paris if you don't want to walk (it's 10 minutes or so to the banks of the Seine). The rooms are fairly small and I was allocated one with an extra (unrequested) single bed in it so making the available floor space even smaller than necessary. External noise is a hazard of city-living but we were faced with the dilemma of either opening the window at night to keep cool but being deafened by idiots doing their recycling at 3 in the morning, or having a bit of peace by closing the window but boiling in the process (seemingly, it was too early in the year to be allowed the aircon!). The final frustration was the unbelievable racket made by our inconsiderate neighbours both next door and in the room above......

Room Tip: Make sure you don't get noisy Americans living next door...........

We were extremely pleased by our decision to stay at Hotel Le Clement. We loved the location. We walked to museums, art, galleries and interesting restaurants. It is convenient to use the Metro. The staff at the hotel is lovely and cooperative. We booked a superior room on the fourth floor. There was a double bed and a single bed. The single bed provided space for our suitcases and gave us a little more area. We would definitely stay at this hotel when we return to Paris.

Excellent location in heart of St Germain. Short walk to Rue de Buci, and Lux gardens. Room was fine, not spectacular...for child / 3rd person the separate small room with legit bed was great. TV's in both rooms and air could be turned on from front desk, which is a bonus on a warm June day. Upper floors do not get too much noise, though on a Saturday night expect the dinners @ the Marche to go past 11p. View of Saint Sulpise and sound of the bells was nice. Desk and breakfast staff were very nice and had fine English skills. Will stay here again.

Room Tip: Rooms on upper floors will be quieter. Facing Marche on rue Clement provides view of St Sulpise.

I've stayed at this hotel before and always been pleased with it, so I sort of hate to leave a less than positive review. Unfortunately, during our last stay there for 5 nights in May, 2014, I found the hotel to be in need of a little freshening up.

My husband and I were visiting Paris for our 25th anniversary. Our "superior double" room was on the front of the hotel, first floor, and had an awkward arrangement with a double bed on one wall and a twin bed facing the opposite way in the corner, leaving very little room to move around. When we arrived the rug in the room was strangely damp, and we were awoken several times in the night by street noise and also at 6:30 am by the trash trucks. When my husband took his shower that first morning he put his hand on the towel rack, and it fell half-way off the wall. (He honestly was not pulling on it or anything.) The towels were quite thin and worn as well.

I requested a new room when I went downstairs, but when the receptionist took time off of her phone call to look at me, I was told that they were fully booked. When we returned from sightseeing that evening, they had placed a fan in the room and the towel rack had been totally removed, leaving no place to put the towels.

We continued to be woken by street noise and trash removal at 6:30 each morning for the rest of our stay. The toilet started leaking water on the floor a few days into our visit, but they couldn't get a repairman until after we left, and we were told that the hotel was still full, so we still couldn't be moved.

The hotel is in an excellent location, and I've really enjoyed staying there before (in 2011 and 2007) but it definitely needs to have a little work done at this time.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the courtyard, and know that a "superior double" room does not necessari...

We have stayed at Hotel Le Clement before. The location cannot be beat. Unfortunately, the hotel is in need of a major renovation. The carpet on the stairs is threadbare. Also, we booked our room 4 months in advance and upgraded to a superior room. Our room was on the first floor on the street and the street noise was very load. Also, it was warm but the air conditioning was not on yet. Fortunately, they brought us a fan which helped with the heat. When we checked in the carpet was moist and the room was musty. During our stay the toilet bowl cracked and started to leak. Finally, the towel rack broke away from the wall.

To be honest we probably will not stay at the Hotel Le Clement again. Disappointing because of its great location.

Room Tip: Interior room.

Great little hotel in an excellent location (St Germain des Pres neighborhood). One block from Mabillon Metro station and only a few blocks from Odeon Metro station (which gives you direct connection to Gare de l'Est and Gare du Nord). Rented a triple and I was very pleased to find that there was an extra room (with extra TV and desk) for the third person - very nice and convenient, and a good overall value (especially when you consider the great location). View from the fifth floor front-facing window was fantastic - San Sulpice straight ahead and the arched Marche St Germain down at the street. Service was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely come back to this hotel and recommend it to friends and family.
