My husband and I were part of group of 4 couples traveling together, and Paris was our last stop on a 2-week adventure. Everyone agreed: this hotel had it ALL - location, charm, price, and warm, helpful staff. Yes, the rooms are a bit small, but that's Paris. We had all stayed in Paris previously, but this hotel was the hands-down favorite. The desk staff went the extra mile to make sure were well taken care of, even to the point of providing wine glasses and appetizer plates for our several "happy hours" prior to going out to dinner! We highly recommend this lovely boutique hotel!

The location was great. WE could walk to any subway line we needed and there were so many great restaurants near there. The rooms were tiny, but as I have stayed in many hotels in Paris, for that price range they are no smaller than a standard room. I asked for a quite room and we were put beside the interior courtyard. There was no street noise, but there is also no soundproofing in teh hotel. We could hear the people above us, anyone in the hallway, and there was a lot of interior noise. Though most of the night it is quiet once everyone is asleep. Someone across from us had quite the cough and we could hear him every time. We never had breakfast there as it was rather expensive and there were cute bakeries that you could walk to. The woman at the desk in the morning was incredibly helpful, the guy at the desk at night knew absolutely nothing about the area, the train stations, the airport or anything else that we asked about.

We stayed six nights and the concierge, Liliana, could not have been kinder or more welcoming. I can't wait to come back.

The details:
Our room faced Rue St Clement, so you can hear the noise from the many restaurants on the street. This did not bother me, and perhaps the rooms on the other side are quieter.

The shower/bath is not recommended for older people or people with impaired mobility as you must step high to enter he tub. I am young and healthy, so no problem for me.

The location was perfect especially for a first timer like me.

This hotel is conveniently situated on little street of Saint-Germain-de-Pres district. The stuff is much more helpful and attentive that it could be.The room is just for a night, this was assumed that day we will spend outdoor, and return late.Breakfast os Ok, very helpful madames bring tea or coffee at your request.Calm, positive, not-hurrying atmosphere is a plus. The lobby is small but cute, each corner is decorated with love. You can ask for a cup of espresso, besides while you wait your spouse or taxi etc.The only thing I woould like to mention- if You have large luggage, put it down to the lobby in advance because of stairs and small lift. This is helpful when you hurry to the airport.

Room Tip: If you take a room with interior "View", try to take as much as higher. Also, an outer room...

We chose this hotel as we wanted to stay in a decent size of room in a central Paris with our little son. We stayed in a Junior Suite, which had two rooms. One room had a double bed and the other had a single bed. We used one of the rooms as a storage rooms as we had two suitcases and some other bags. This is a hotel in Paris - so it's not big, but we were very happy what this hotel offered. It is located in Saint-Germain-des-Pres and very easy to walk to many shops, cafe and restaurants. Also we walked to Luxembourg Park. It was a great walk there in the morning. It would be good for people who want to do some walking or jogging during their holiday in Paris!
The room was clean and it had a little bath tab too - it was very useful for our son. Funny walll paper is used, but it was not too offensive. I liked receptionists. They were very friendly and helpful at all the times. We stayed 3 nights and our package was EUR160 a night - I think it's great value and i cannot ask for more in a such a good location!

This hotel is 1/2 block from the Mabillon Metro stop in the center of St. Germaine de Pres. The number of fine restaurants within a few blocks is mind boggling. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The rooms are quite small. We stayed in two different rooms because we left Paris for 4 days and returned for several days before returning home. I recommend requesting a room that faces the rear of the hotel because there is noise from the street all night long. Overall it was a great value.

Paris vacation in early July 2012. Settled on the Hotel le Clement basically because of the great location, quiet, and the marche across the street with the fine restaurants, brassaries, cafes, and bistros and shops...so close. Right in the heart of St Germain-des-Pres.

Initially, I asked for a Superior Double, but because I'd asked for a high floor room, we ended up with one of the Attic rooms, not shown on the website. Extra tiny, too small for 2 people, sloping ceiling, sitz bath, ok view, wifi only worked 30 seconds out of every hour. Asked to change rooms. No luck. Complained about wifi everyday. No luck. Asked for the manager. No one knew when he'd be around or how to reach him, and our little room was the most expensive in the hotel...I found out. Disappointed, but I'd been to Paris on business many times and wanted to try one of the numerous boutique hotels for this vacation. Good luck. The website photographers use some fantastic wide angle lens cameras.
