On a recent trip to Europe I stayed at the "Hotel Residence des Arts" on two occasions for a total of 5 nights. This is a comfortable and charming hotel with nicely decorated and spotlessly clean rooms in the heart of the 6th, close to the Seine. What a great location - close to the major tourist sights of central Paris and the nearby streets abound with shops, cafes, bars & restaurants. The professional (english speaking) staff were most helpful with advice on dining options and taxi bookings. On my second visit I was upgraded to a room on a higher floor, which was most appreciated. Highly recommended.

First of all, thank you to have taken the time to comment.

We are very pleased you enjoyed your stay with us ! You brushed a very accurate picture of our hotel : a great place to organize your visits from, and a cosy place to rest after your day of sightseeing and shopping.

As you said, our staff is always glad to help out, whether by upgrading you when possible, or booking restaurants and taxis ! Our goal is to make you feel like true Parisians, and discover both the famous landmarks and hidden corners of the city.

We hope to get to see you a third time,

The Staff.

My wife and I recently made our first trip to Paris and stayed nine days inn May, 2013 at a wonderful boutique hotel (only 11 rooms) in Paris. The hotel is located on the left bank (Latin Quarter) one block from the Seine River between the Notre Dame Cathederal and the Louvre...a perfect location. We had a junior suite (two rooms) with a small kitchenette and good size private bathroom with shower/tub for about $250 euros per night. The rooms were very clean and the king bed very comfortable, with maid service each day. The hotel staff were very friendly even arranging for taxis when needed and they spoke english. The hotel also had AC, free wifi and room service. One draw back was the hotel elevator which was the smallest one I've ever been in...the size of a double-wide coffin. Hotel staff had to bring the suitcases up seperately. But the "lift" worked fine and we had a lot of laughs while riding in it. The hotel is associated with the hotel across the street, The Villa D'estrees, and a restaurant next door. There's also a small Irish pub across the street. All in all we had a very enjoyable experience at the hotel and you couldn't find a more conveniently located place to stay.

Room Tip: Many hotel rooms in Paris are very small so it was nice to find a hotel with a two room suite, a pri...

Thank you for your great comment !

We are happy your wife and you enjoyed staying in our hotel. Indeed, it is a boutique hotel which is full of personality - the building was originally built in the XVIth century. We are happy you got along with our quirky elevator, which may be petite, but does the trick !

As you said, the rooms are quite large, especially for Paris, and offer all the comfort you could want after a busy day roaming around the city - whether on foot since we offer such a central location, or by subway and bus, only a minute away. For extra comfort, a maid comes everyday, so once back from your daily adventures, you can fully relax in a comfortable and clean environment .

We hope Paris will charm you back from Florida and that you will come and see us again !

The reception.

We loved this place. Close to all the sites of central Paris at a fabulous price. Highly recommend the junior suites. The staff treated us like royalty. Elevator not for the claustrophobic but the rooms are quite large by Paris standards. We plan on returning in September!

I began my experience of the hotel through e-mails to its staff. The responses were always quick, professional and helpful. The location right off St. Michelle in St. Germain was perfect. Two restaurants were immediately adjacent simplifying dining but also creating noise in the street which came into the room. Turning the fan on of the air conditioner solved the noise problem. The room was always made up quickly. I highly recommend this hotel

It would be very hard to beat this in Paris. Location is excellent, all the staff are friendly and can't do enough to help,
The rooms are a great size ( we use the junior suite as we now stay for 4 nights), sight seeing is 3 minutes away, you are in an area full of a tremendous range of all sorts and levels of restaurants, Metro, taxis, RER 3 minutes walk.
The price is exceptional especially for Paris.
It's like staying with French fiends in Paris. We'll be back again and again.

The hotel is small in the Saint Germain/Latin Quarter area with excellent restaurants at a good price close by the hotel and also good shops and a living area.
Our junior suite suited myself, my wife and our daughter ver well with good beds and a small kitchen and a good bath room. The worlds smallest lift takes you to your room.
The personal service at the hotel is friendly with good english speaking persons- the hotels
restaursnt should be avoided.
The price Euro 240 is expected in this area.
Close to the metro - notre dame - and Charles De G/Orly airports by the metro

Room Tip: The higher up the better - less noise.

Chosen due to on-site restaurant/room service and configuration of rooms. It was perfect for our family. Service was especially good and friendly, with wonderful English speaking staff. Spacious junior suite with additional standard room next door was excellent and like our own private apartment. Location is in the heart of Paris, walking distance to a lot and a metro station close by. Tons of eating choices right in the neighborhood too.

Room Tip: The junior suites with a room next door are perfect for a family or group. We had room 22 (a junior...
