“A pleasant visit.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 26, 2013

Hotel was quiet, clean, comfortable and efficient. Very small room with no place to sit except on the bed. The hotel staff very friendly and helpful. The area of Montmartre seemed a bit sketchy, but the Metro is close by and the hotel seems safe. The morning breakfast was plentiful and full of excellent choices. I stayed 2 nights in early May and the price was right.

Room Tip: I heard that next to the stairs was noisy.

It is only 5 minutes walk from Jules Joffrin Station from the Rue de Poteau. With cafe and Monoprix over 2 minutes makes convenience. I like the carpet from the room featuring Montmartre. Thanks to Bruno, I felt safe and taken care for the entire stay (7 nights). Breakfast and Wifi is excellent to be conncected. If you are travelling alone or have a week to spend in Paris, the location of the hotel is not bad at all. The metro in Paris is convenient and you can feel the Parisien life from the neighborhood as well.

PLEASE DONT MISTAKE THIS HOTEL WITH IBIS STYLE PARIS PIGALLE MONTMARTRE

Newly renovated hotel is located very close to the Mairie du 18e arrondissement, in Northern part of Paris. Line 12 Metro is 5 min walk away.
Although it is close to Pigalle and Montmartre, the neighborhood is popular, not very touristic, with an old building being renovated across the (relatively quiet, one-way) street. Expect some noise during the week, and if you need to open the window because there is no air conditioning, it could be quit noisy during the day.

The Ibis Style promise is delivered, from Wifi and breakfast included in the price, to a room nicely decorated, including a bottle of a water and a bag of candies.
The bedroom is freshly redecorated and therefore also very clean, especially the bathroom.

Yet this does not help wih a lack of what I call the fnudamentals.

The room is very small, and a queen size bed in the middle of approx 9 sqm does not leave much room for anything else. 30cm of hanging bar is all you have to hang your clothes, and there is no room to open a suitcase else than on the bed. No room for a desk or a chair, just two stools are provided together with a 10cm shelf below the television (flat screen hung to the wall of course, there is no room for old TVs).

The second major inconvenient is the poor sound insulation of the walls : expect to hear what your neighbors are saying, next to and above your room, including what they are doing in the bathroom. The room door is very thin and not well insulated. This is far from the standard displayed by the most recent Ibis hotels to day.

The kind receptionist and lovely breakfast area urban setting is nice, but won't help the above two points.

If you plan to come as a couple and stay for a week, the room may be too small to open all your luggage.
And if your sleeping hours do not align with those of you neighbors, your night might be quite short.

I am usually willing to trade comfort, location, and price when I cannot get everything at once. Unfortunately, in Paris there are several Ibis hotels which offer bigger rooms, better comfort (especially soundproof rooms), at the same price.

To be recommended for single people (with deep sleep capacity) going for single nights outside Summer, for example when the other hotels are fully booked.

The hotel is located in Montmartre, which takes 10 minutes from the trainstation and 15 minutes to the city center. Make sure to eat at Chez Anne, a small bistro located in the same street, offering delicious meals for good prices.

We spent 4 nights here in early April. The location was good, just a short walk from Jules Joffrin Metro station. The room was small but not as small as expected from some other reviews. Having breakfast & wifi included was great. Even took advantage of the coffee/ hot water for tea in the evenings before heading out & could leave our bags in secure area the day of departure at no cost. Close enough to some great restaurants in Montmartre & the metro made it easy to get to some of the more central sights. Enjoyed our stay here & found the staff very helpful. Would stay here again & recommend to friends.

Room Tip: Some rooms are close to the lift/ wooden stairs, which can be a little noisy first thing in the morn...

We stayed in Paris and in this hotel for 2 nights and the hotel is in a very great location, just 500 meters away from "Jules Joffrin" subway station. The rooms a maybe a little bit small but who comes to Paris to stay in a hotel? The value for the money is very good and for those who prefer to spend the money on museums, theaters and food rather than in expensive hotels, I can really recommand this place. Breakfast very good and coffee and tea, croissants and apple available all day long!
