“Perfection on the left bank”

After several days at the Crillon we wanted to spend some time in the sixth and chose Hotel Relais Saint-Germain. We feared that after the opulence and service at the Crillon that anything else would be a disappointment. NOT SO! Our room was charmingly decorated and much larger than what one would expect in this area. The staff was helpful and efficient. The priority treatment of Hotel guests at Le Comptoir was a great asset (as the food there is terrific). The icing on the cake was Marie at the front of the house. She was warm and extremely helpful (to the point of walking us to the bus stop one day to show us the most scenic route to our destination). We will definitely be back.

I have stayed in many hotels and this is in my Top 2.
The Hotel Relais St Germain is a magnificent boutique hotel with exceptionally appointed rooms varying in price from €220 to €440. The high rate gets you a balcony for the romantics. If you stay 4 nights breakfast is included and is all homemade and superb. All rooms are substantial in size and have themes of famous authors and are very well and warmly decorated in soft furnishing with a Parisian art deco feel. We had room 22, it was incredible. The bathrooms are all marble, very very clean and rooms have air con and very good free wifi Internet. The staff are exceptional in there service and English and go out of their way for you effortlessly. The beds are very comfortable. Marie was wonderful in swapping rooms for our anniversary as we stayed in the balcony room (rm 58) for 2 nights.
Rooms have sound proof french windows so you don't here much outside unless you wish to.
The hotel has an exceptional restaurant attached that does a special gastronomic menu each night and if always booked out, but hotels guests get priority booking.
The hotel is veery well located near Blvd St Germain, restaurants, Metro and all the major sites.
When I come back to Paris this will be my ONLY choice of hotel I will use.

.

Room Tip: Choose room 22 for less cost or room 58 for a truly indulgent experience, but what ever you do book...

The Comptoir (the restaurant attached to the hotel) is just fabulous, a real French bistro with unbeatable prices (food and wines)... Cannot wait to go back to Paris and enjoy this wonderful hotel!!

We stayed at the Relais Saint-Germain in July 2012 for 5 nights. We reserved the Junior suite, and it was a great choice for us. The room was spacious with a king size bed, and a nice sized sitting area with a couch, small table, 2 chairs and a writing desk. The room was clean and decorated beautifully. Very charming, with a modern bathroom and shower. We enjoyed the fish in our room too! Our room faced the street, but with the windows closed the noise was minimal and never bother us. It was very warm while we were there, and we had air conditioner on our entire stay,it worked very well. Most days we had breakfast sent to our room. It arrived in a timely manor, freshly prepared and delicious. It included, tea, coffee, fresh juice, fruit, bread basket, sliced ham, cheese and soft boiled eggs. More than enough to start the day! The location was great. We were able to walk to many attractions, Museum d'Orsay, Notre Dame, San Chapelle, St. Germain-des-Pres, Louvre, even Hotel Des Invalides (quite a walk though) The restaurant attached to the hotel, Le Comptoir is AWESOME. There were lines every day, from 11:30 in the morning until 10:30 at night. If you are staying at the hotel you have "preferred" seating. Meaning you don't have to wait in the line for 1-1 1/2 hours. While we were there they had the "A la carte" menu available, it was great! There were many choices, and the menu was the same for both lunch and dinner. We ate there twice, one dinner, one lunch, and I wish we had eaten there more! The area of Saint-Germain itself is a lot of fun. If you are looking for lots of cafes, shops and people watching this is the area for you. The staff at the hotel is extremely helpful, courteous and professional. A very big thank you to both Anna and Marie for all of their help both before and during our trip, with dinner reservations, cabs, and anything else we asked for. I had made a mistake when booking a cab pick up from the airport, and there was some confusion about when we were arriving. When we arrived at the hotel our room was not ready, Anna quickly handled the situation. She was able to give us a room to freshen up in and take a short rest. We went out to begin our vacation, by the time we returned, (a few hours later) our room was available, and our bags had been moved to our room. If you are looking for a small boutique hotel, with a lot of charm, personal attention, and a wonderful restaurant attached this is the hotel for you!

Room Tip: Junior Suite worth the cost, very nice sized room, lots of space

The hotel is exquisite, staff have gone above and beyond helping us the our trip. Rooms are tastefully decorated with ample size. The location is on the left bank in the heart of saint germain, so easy to acces everything, short walk to Norte Dame & the right bank.

We stayed at the Hotel Relais Saint Germain in June and July of 2012. We had our two small children with us in July. The junior suite was perfect for the four of us. The guests at the hotel have priority for dinner and lunch at Le Comptoir restaurant which is attached to the hot. Make sure you eat there for lunch (a la carte) menu or dinner (Monday-Friday gastronomic menu or weekends - a la scatter). The food is fabulous and he wine list is extensive. Make sure to talk to your neighbors during your meal. You undoubtedly will meet someone very interesting.

My husband and I stayed for four nights at the end of a five week holiday. We have been to Paris a couple of times and like the Saint-Germain area. The Hotel Relais Saint-Germain ticked all the boxes for us - friendly, very clean, decent size room and a great location. While you would never describe the cost of the accommodation as 'cheap' we thought it was good value, particularly when compared to other comparable hotels in the same area. It would be difficult to beat the convenience of the location - or the atmosphere of the area in which the hotel is located. We will certainly stay at the Hotel Relais again.
