“Ambiance and great Location”

Highly recommend this hotel. A true boutique hotel with lots of charm. The rooms are a little small, but that's Paris for you. Friendly staff and very clean. We travel a lot and found this to be a true gem!

This was great. We had Room No. 1 - right behind reception. The room is well equipped, and is located right off the main bar area. Despite that, it's not loud. Two double doors open up to a lovely courtyard which is also really quiet. The architecture of the hotel is really unusual. It used to be a real tennis court. Lovely old beams, etc.
Free wi-fi and very helpful reception staff added to the pleasure.
There is no dinner restaurant and the breakfast is a bit disappointing. Just croissants, rolls, coffee, juice, etc. and the cost is 18 Euro each... probably better to go outside and grab something in one of the may local cafes.
The location is one of the best bits. We walked to Sainte Chappelle, Notre Dame, the Louvre and the Musee D'Orsay.

Hotel fairly empty yet still we were given a room with broken tiles in bathroom, the most uncomfortable bed (made a clunking sound whenever you moved), limited wifi connectivity and paper thin walls. Printer wouldn't work for boarding passes and we decided to eat breakfast out. Not a four star and next time we would definitely stay in one of the three stars on the same street which looked a lot better.

This hotel is situated in the Ile St. Louis in the very centre of Paris. It is a jewel of a hotel with buckets of charm. The building is on the site of the original tennis court built by Louis XIV, at it is a magnificently preserved building inside, brought up to date with a very tasteful conversion into a hotel. There are pleasant lounge areas on different levels within the internal atrium. Pop art adorns some of the walls leading to the bedrooms. The room was quiet, well appointed and very comfortable.
I found the staff to be extremely helpful on the front desk, particularly with regard to recommending local restaurants and in dealing with general queries.
This is a hotel with a wow factor. Definitely a very fine boutique hotel within a stones throw of Notre Dame.
My only comment is that the breakfast was expensive and not substantial enough to justify the price.

Room Tip: I don't think this applies.

This hotel on St. Louis-en-Ile is a great base for exploring Paris. The room was comfortable and had all mod cons, including minibar and a heated towel rack. The hotel doesn't have a restaurant per se, but does offer breakfast either in the breakfast room or in your room; it's a little pricey at 18 euros for breakfast, considering that you can go to a cafe nearby instead. Still, worth it if you like to lounge about a bit in the morning. Reception staff speak English and will help with reservations for restaurants, theater, taxis, etc. The Ile is right behind Notre Dame and very close to the Hotel De Ville Batobus stop -- the hop on, hop off boat that takes you to the Louvre, Champs Elysee, Arc de Triomphe, Musee D'Orsay, etc. -- and easy walking to the Sorbonne, Jardin du Luxembourg and St. Germain.

The Jeu de Paume is an excellent boutique hotel built in a gorgeously restored renaissance building located on the tranquil Isle de St.Louis, an oasis right in the middle of Paris, close to everything. The staff are unfailingly friendly, helpful and efficient. The rooms are understated chic, and very quiet. This is a lovely, tranquil hotel, a perfect place to base yourself in Paris.

My husband and I spent six nights at Le Hotel du Jeu de Paume beginning April 5, 2014. We were delighted with every aspect of our stay. The location on the I'IIe was fabulous. We could walk, use the metro easily, and had many things to do right outside of the hotel. The bustling street outside was interesting and filled with shops and restaurants, fulfilling all of our needs. Then we would enter the door of the hotel and be in a quiet, sophisticated courtyard and then lobby. The friendly staff was always pleasant, helpful and welcoming. The common areas of the hotel are well appointed, diverse and interesting with particularly pleasant lighting and seating. Our room, on the second floor, had a window that opened onto a quiet and bright courtyard with a beautiful tree right outside of our window. The large room had particularly nice fixtures and lighting, all new. There were dimmers and the lights could be quite bright for reading as well. The bed and bedding were very comfortable and attractive. They have designed the space exceedingly well. The nice small table with two chairs in the room added to our experience as well. There was ample cupboard, drawer and closet space. We enjoyed the breakfast and found it to be reasonably priced. We would highly recommend this wonderful hotel and are looking forward to regular return visits!

Room Tip: We loved overlooking the courtyard. It did not appear that any of the rooms would be in a noisy or...
