Stayed here for 3 nights over Labor Day weekend 2012 and it was more than what I had hoped for.

After driving myself insane searching for a hotel as close to the action as possible but not breaking the bank, I booked a room at the Jeu de Paume. I was not disappointed in the slightest.

The location was absolutely the best as it provided a nice central point (on L'ile St. Louis) to either walk over into the Marais or the Latin Quarter. This made dining and sightseeing very easy. The immediate area had a number of restaurants and shops for snacking and the little market up the street is perfect for those little items you may need.

The room size was more than adequate with a small honor bar refrigerator that did not offer much in the way of cold storage. The hotel was quiet and calm and the staff extremely helpful with recommending restaurants in the area and all were a hit. To the room size again, in my research I paid close attention to the stated room size for the places I looked at and the Jeu de Paume rooms were the biggest in the area for the price. Now of course we are talking Paris big. Not Texas big! :-)

The decor was tasteful with lots of neat focal points to draw your eye and make you smile. The hotel dog is the coolest. He is definitely at home and you are his guest. :-)

There is no restaurant service but they do have an arrangement with a nearby establishment to provide food and room service if you would like. But there is so many cool restaurants nearby and you are in Paris after all. So, why would you want to sit in your room and eat anyway?

I will definitely return.

My real rating would four and one half...

The only reason I did not give 5 is the horrific internet access. I swear they have the cheapest wireless access point as the signal is weak and about as slow as AOL used to be back in the day. While there is a computer in the common area that you can use, it is kind of inconvenient if you are trying to check email from home or just plan for the next day in the comfort of your room after long day. they should really make an investment in improving that part of their establishment.

Room Tip: Try not to be in a room facing the main street. There is a bar across the street and I imagine you m...

Really enjoyed our stay here. The location on Ile Saint Louis is amazing. Very central but feels quiet and laid back.
Not the flashest hotel but comfortable and romantic.
Very charming and independent in feel

We stayed one night only at this charming hotel last week. Our room was large, had quality fittings and linen and was filled with character. The service at the front desk was friendly and knowledgeable of the local area. The location is brilliant as it is close by to a number of metro stations, including the RER station near Notre Dame so getting to and from either Orly or CDG airports is simple. The Ile St Louis has some lovely shops for something a little special to take home (puppets; funky shirts; fashion; antiques; prints; arts), as well as a renowned ice creamery and a great bakery just a few doors away from the hotel. The area is quiet and there is not a great deal of traffic, and a nice stroll along the Seine to the Louvre or to the Musee D'Orsay. There is a local market near the Arab Institute on the left bank as well, only a couple of hundred metres away. Definitely recommend this hotel for those looking for a treat ! Although it cost a bit more than the hotel we stayed at near the Odeon at the beginning of our trip it was definitely more comfortable, and in a more convenient area, and more romantic.

Room Tip: We stayed on the second floor facing the little courtyard.. there was no view to speak of but it was...

Located in the very heart of Paris, on the small (and quite snobbish) Île St. Louis. The architects maintained the medieval structure of the building and "implanted" the contemporary rooms. With success! The result: A romantic and very comfortable hotel for lovers and Parislovers who are able to afford it. The staff is very friendly and competent.
Breakfast (not included) is decent but overpriced. And the phonic isolation between the different rooms is not without reproach ...

We chose it for its location walking distance to many attractions and several metro lines. It is a lovely quiet spot in the bustle of the L'Ile St Louis. The location can not be beat It is charming our rooms were on 1st floor, to get two adjacent, with just a view of a courtyard but were very quiet very comfortable. The breakfast is a bit pricey and there are numerous Cafe's (one with the rudest waiters in Paris) and an excellent Boulangerie just down the street. But there were days the we found it nice to gather in the quiet of the hotel to plan our activities. After long hot days of sightseeing (our 16 year old planned the excursions) it was so nice to come back here.
Only problem was no cell coverage inside our room I had to go outside to check messages make calls. WifFi and a bit spotty but useable.
The staff was very attentive and very pleasant. Pricey yes but it is Paris

My wife and I stayed with our two teenage children at the Jeu de Paume for eight nights. We had a lovely stay. The location is the true highlight. In addition to being a wonderful little island in the middle of the Seine, the Isle St. Louis is a beautiful, central location to stay in Paris, right near Notre Dame and walking distance to the Quartier Latin and the Marais. The hotel itself is nice, though not overwhelming. We had originally booked the three bedroom apartment attached to the hotel, which was very disappointing. It was not air conditioned (though they did offer to bring in portable air conditioners) and it faced right onto the fairly noisy main street on the island, making leaving the windows open at night impossible. We moved to two adjoining rooms in the hotel, which were small but adequate for the four of us. The staff at the hotel were all friendly and accommodating. A limited breakfast is served in the hotel, but with the cafes and bakeries nearby, it really does not make much sense to dine at the hotel. On the whole, a very nice hotel in a phenomenal location.

Room Tip: Don't reserve the three bedroom apartment, unless you are prepared for a very quirky and somewha...

Hotel is placed in the center of Paris, nice walking distance to Notre Dame and Louvre. No traffic, very quiet. Rooms with wooden ceilings - combination of history and modern. Just beautiful.

The cons are no breakfast - and when you pay EUR 300 for the room, you woud expect it.. Fortunately there is several cafes around.

Second - very soft beds, So if you are grown man (I am 100 kilos) having very soft matrace means your bottom sink and you sleep kind of uphill:-( I did not sleep well, my wife (60kilos) had no problem.
