“Fabulous staff, great location and price”
Reviewed June 9, 2013

My family had thee rooms here for the French Open. My husband and I had a Deluxe Room, which was large enough and very comfortable for a two-week stay (room 202). Our married children had Club rooms, which are smaller and fine for a shorter stay. However, I would definitely upgrade to a Deluxe room for a longer stay.
The location is perfect with two blocks to the Seine and about a six-minute walk to the metro stations. The bathrooms are updated, fresh, and comfortable. Our room had a walk-in shower and no tub, which suited us perfectly. Our children's Club rooms had tubs with showers.
Climate controls in the room worked perfectly, and the controls got a workout as the weather changed dramatically during our two-week stay. The beds and bedding are excellent-- better than hotels much more expensive.
The breakfast is excellent, and you can have it brought to your room, if desired.
The very best thing about this hotel is the staff at the front desk. They do everything in their power to ensure that your stay in Paris is memorable. They make reservations for you, locate hard-to- get tickets for you, arrange guides and drivers for you. They do all of this with a big smile. They become family to you.
There are two things necessary to mention: 1. You have to walk up one short flight of stairs to take the elevator and 2. The wifi in the hotel rooms is spotty, but the hotel is working to correct this.
I would definitely recommend this hotel and will stay here when I return to Paris. However, I would always stay in a Deluxe room as the Club room is not large enough for my husband and me to be comfortable.

Room Tip: Stay on the second floor and in a Deluxe room.

Dear Madam,

I would like to thank you for taking some of your time for reporting further to your stay at Hotel Verneuil.

It is a real pleasure to hear that all our efforts have made your stay enjoyable in Paris.

I agree with you on the fact it is important for some to know that the hotel is located in a 17th century building, and therefore it has some inconvenience :
the size of the rooms, and the stairs to use to walk to the lift, and to access the breakfast room.

We much look forward to welcoming you back.

Best regards

This boutique hotel is hidden 1 block off the main drag by Seine River & Louvre. Centrally located to access entire city. The hotel is beautiful and offer great rates. Basic is small and they aren't shy to tell you this. Be preapared but you aren't there for the room. It's the location! Great restaurants all around it. Joseph & Nazira were AWESOME! Very knowledgeable and friendly. Definitely worth a look. Rooms book fast so plan early. They offer a great breakfast to get you going in the morning.

Stayed here for 3 nights recently and would highly recommend this Paris hotel for good location and quiet position. As others have said the room is small.....but perfectly formed. Ours even had a bath which is not normal for Paris. Breakfast good for bread/croissants and cold food. Hot stuff looked aweful! Quite pricey but worth it and would recommend it for a left bank stay.

I don't do reviews... but this is such a lovely hotel in a fabulous, and surprisingly quiet, central location that it has to be worth commenting on. Friendly staff, great recommendations for local restaurants, a very tasteful and classy decor, enough that you know you are not in "just another Hotel"; a supremely comfortable bed and an excellent breakfast, What's more to want? Better weather perhaps!

I stayed at the hotel Verneuil for five nights last week. Excellent service and location. Room decorated with taste and very clean. The neighbourhood was quiet, no problems getting sleep. Would stay there again.

This is a great hotel. The staff were always friendly, helpful and spoke perfect English. The hotel is in a perfect location and the rooms are clean, modern and the bathrooms very nice. Breakfast was generous with everything most people would want. The one downside, is room size. The website clearly states the standard rooms are 12sqm, but it's only when you are both standing in the room with your bags that you realise how small this is. For example, the bed only had access on one side (as one side was against the wall) and we couldn't open our suitcases on the ground. We are regular travellers to Europe, so we understand room sizes are smaller, but there are certainly larger rooms available in Paris for less. We were in the only ground floor room (and the Wifi continually dropped out).

To conclude, this is a first class, high quality hotel that you will enjoy, however if we were to return we would book a larger room.

Room Tip: As big as you can afford

Dear Sir, Dear Madam,

I would like to thank you for taking some time further to your stay and reviewing Hotel Verenuil.

I am pleased to hear that you have mostly enjoyed your stay in Paris.

I am sorry to hear that your room did not fully satisfy you.

Upon the renovation of the hotel, we made the decision to have larger beds in all our rooms, and we now have queen size beds in every room except one.

Therefore the size remaining around the bed in the rooms is not that much.
we really wished the room to be comfortable for our guests.

We look forward to welcoming you back and would then do our best to upgrade for a larger category of room.

Best regards

The rooms are small, but very neat and stylish -- very chic. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the location is superb. I've stayed here multiple times and will return. The area where this hotel is located can't be beat -- right in the middle of the design section of Paris, and very close to excellent restaurants, as well as the river and bridges.

Room Tip: I've always stayed in one of the upper floor rooms.
