Our stay coincided with the New Year's Eve holiday weekend; in Paris, this means that museums/restaurants/stores will all have unpredictable schedules. We were fortunate that Estelle, Francois and Romain cheerfully went out of their way to help us with arrangements. Merci!

The picture with the pink walls and Indian painting is actually the very room in which we stayed. My friend had to go to Paris for a board meeting, so I tagged along, and we shared this room. The front desk staff, esp. Francois, was very helpful and spoke excellent English. They were also most helpful in giving us directions, recommending restaurants (A La Petite Chaise) and translating the day's events for us. While small by American standard, the room had a view of the courtyard, was quiet and had everything we needed. One night we purchased some cheeses, breads and meats from MonoPrix down the street, pulled that litte table up next to the window and and enjoyed champagne, wine dinner and dessert in our room. C'est magnifique!

Had a great new year stay. Left to our own devicies, no hassle from anyone. Charming Hotel with rooms clean and bathroom brand new, room make ups spot on!
Great affluent location but be prepared for some steep prices. Nice freindly bar next door and lovely deli round the corner. We loved walking around and the river is 3 mins away.
Renovations taking place at the mo so if you want a lie in you won't get one. Would have liked Tea/coffee making facilities in our room.

Having found the hotel in an off-beat guide book, we were so pleased with our discovery. As interior designers, we wanted a small boutique hotel in St. Germaine that was attractive, comfortable and reasonably priced. Although the lobby was not as attractive as some of the neighboring hotels, our room was recently decorated with Manual Canovas wallpaper and sophisticated accents. Best of all was how quiet the room was. We both agreed that it was the quietest room we have ever experienced (Room 45)! We opted for the simple breakfast in the attractive breakfast room, off the courtyard. Not mentioned was the exceptional staff that was helpful with restaurant reservations and taxis. We look forward to staying at this hotel again.

We stayed 3 nights in a surprisingly large room by Paris standards, with full bath and a couple of chairs with a table. I was able to use wifi, keep the windows open onto the courtyard all night, and slept soundly on a very comfortable bed. Laduree (for the best macarons), Musee D'Orsay and the Seine are very close. We never had to use transit, except when we went by underground to the Paris Flea Market.

I did not stay here during my recent trip to Paris, but I did stumble upon the Hotel Danube while searching for a particular shop in St. Germain.

Desperate for some help, I walked into the hotel and asked the concierge for help. Even though I wasn't a guest there, he took the time to go on the internet and find the location of the shop for me. He then proceeded to advise not to take the Metro there because it was within walking distance and taking the Metro would require more than one transfer, which would be time consuming and tedious.

I wanted to make sure I wrote a review here to thank the kind gentleman at the concierge desk on the afternoon of June 18, 2010, for his kindness and help.

We have been staying in this hotel for years and will be staying here for years to come. The location is perfect, within walking distance of the Louvre, Musee d'Orsay, Notre Dame, and a number of excellent restaurants. The staff are friendly and helpful and a mine of information. The standard rooms are small but excellently appointed and great value. For a longer stay, a superior room, spacious and also beautifully appointed, is probably a better choice. The hotel has recently been renovated with very careful attention to detail and its style has been updated but preserved. In-room internet access is a wonderful bonus for those of us who travel with our work.
