This is a lovely place to rest while sightseeing and simply people watch. The fountains and flowers are lovely and the area itself is very clean.
The fair stations itself at the Tuileries. We went and did some rides and got some sweets. I have to say the French fair is much more technology minded and upscale compared to the US. we had a nice time.
The gardens are ver dusty and we all got a bit dirty. There are not a lot of flowers but there a plenty of chairs to sit and relax.
Have been to “Jardin des Tuileries”, many times. Paris is absolutely my favorite city in the world. At (least) two times during the visit...A bottle of wine, a couple pieces of simply excellent cheese, and a baguette. We sit, enjoy the view, and each other’s company. From students reading, to family’s strolling quietly, to lovers enjoying an embrace. The “Tuileries” are in the heart of Paris, and definitely (not) simply a “walkthrough”.
Yes, you might think, they are so cultural, visiting gardens and stuff. But no, there was a fun fair and our kids really really wanted to go. A little pricey, I must admit, but it's a great way to keep the kids happy for an hour or so. We had fun too.
