I haven’t been in years, but it’s still a great place that is totally the epitome of Parisian! Go for a stroll or sit alone, with family or friends. It’s a great place to visit!

What a lovely park to go to for relaxation and a break from the busy museums and streets. Plenty of green chairs to sit on and green areas. Beautiful fountains. Bordered at one end by The Louvre and at the other end by Place de la Concorde.
The gardens, fountains and statues are all beautiful. Definitely a great place to walk through. A nice peaceful place away from the hustle and bustle of the streets but centrally located so easy to access.
The gardens in Paris, and really most of France, are very different than what we're used to here in the States. Gardens in France are mostly open space with grass and well kept landscaping... more similar to parks in America. There are not the lavish flowers and other decorative features you might expect. If you understand this going in, you'll appreciate the open space aspect of this garden, and others like it, more.
Les Tuileries are a series of adjoining gardens reaching from Le Louvre all the way to Place de la Concorde. It has wide gravelled or sanded paths in between beautifully pleached old trees and formally planted beds of flowers. The central pond and fountain is surrounded by green metal garden chairs on the perfect angle for a bit of a relax in the middle of a busy Paris day. Lovely! Just don't go to sleep there and leave your bag unattended!
There's a lot to do in this strolling park along the banks of the Seine - there are food carts, cafes, a carousel and of course L'Orangerie.
The Tuileries Garden is the opposite end of the Champs Elysees from the Arc de Triomphe, located between the Place de la Concorde and the Louvre. It is a nice, relaxing place to pause and refresh while seeing the sites of Paris. There are two fountains, one at each end of the garden with chairs for your use. There is a great ice cream place as well as two places to eat within the garden grounds. A nice relaxing place to spend a few minutes, or hours, while in Paris.
