The hotel lived up to all the good reviews. The welcome was warm and efficient, the rooms were lovely and the location was ideal, very close to two metro stations in a nice neighbourhood. An excellent choice for any visitor to Paris, and not expensive either. Perfect!

Room Tip: Rooms at the back are quieter but those facing the street have small balconies on higher floors or on lower floors large windows which open wide with pretty window boxes.

Daughter and I stayed mid October. Couldn't have been happier with stay! We knew we were in the right place when these 2 jet lagged and tired travelers received such such a warm welcome upon arrival. No silly tourist question was to much for them, no matter how busy they always took the time to answer. The hotel is exactly as pictured on the website. We stayed in 1 room with 1 doubled sized bed. Room size just fine, very comfy beds. The shower room had a hair blow dryer mounted on the wall a bit weak with air but it did serve the purpose. No small wash cloth so if use one, bring it with you.

Metro Europe & Villiers stations within 10 mins walk ( which takes u just any where you would want to go) there are others stations but they are a farther walk. I thought walking to any major tourist attraction was a bit too far from the hotel but taking the metro was close and easy.

Decent bakery just a couple of doors away but found even better ones in Montmartre area which was just about 15 min walk .

Opera garnier was also 15 -20 mins walk with lots of shopping.

Thank you to Catherine, Josef and all the wonderful staff at New Orient for making our first visit to paris such a wonderful visit, we can't wait to return!

Have just returned from 2 nights in this hotel with my teenage daughter. It was a great place to stay in a very safe feeling neighbourhood. The room was lovely, clean and comfortable. Really useful to have free Wi-fi and the breakfast was delicious. We had this in our room as we're not at our best first thing in the morning and it was just right: rolls, croissants and pastries with butter and jams, a hot drink, juice and yoghurt. The staff were all so friendly and helpful and the area felt authentically French not touristy yet only a few metro stops to the centre.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Stayed here on two separate occasions and it is a great well priced hotel in handy location. The staff are friendly, helpful and are happy to store your luggage if your room not ready. The rooms are small but very clean and have everything you need. Our room overlooked the back courtyard and so at night was very quiet. The beds were very comfortable and the pillows great so there was never a problem sleeping. Loved the little lift and the stairs a good workout after your French pastries. Close to metro stops and plenty of restaurants and opposite a little supermarket where you could get anything you wanted, including wine. Breakfast not included but is available and we thought it good value when a nearby cafe charged over 6 euro for one coffee! All in all a great little hotel, very well priced and would recommend.

Room Tip: Cheaper rooms face the back courtyard, front rooms had balconies.

I would definitely recommend this hotel for a stay in Paris. I arrived early and the staff was happy to store luggage until the room was ready at around 2 PM or so. So, we set out to see the neighborhood and walk to Sacre-Coeur. The staff were wonderful, very friendly and accommodating. They were only too happy to give us recommendations for where to get food when the occasion arose.

The hotel is in a great, but nice and quiet location, and is only a 2 minute walk from Villiers metro station. It is a convenient walk to Rome and Europe (5-10 mins) to access other lines. Gare St Lazare is about 10 minutes walk away. The Parc de Monceau is a short walk from the hotel for a run or stroll (or just sitting on a park bench for people watching). It's a very spacious and pretty park.

The room was nice and well kept. The size is expected for a European single. The bed was extremely comfortable with plenty of pillows. The a/c worked great kept the room nice and cool which was good as the temps were in the mid 80's (very warm) while we were there for 10 days from the end of May thru the beginning of June. The bathroom was tight and modern with plenty of hot water in the shower. As in most places in Europe economizing with the water is encouraged. The whole room was very clean and well kept.

There is a very well stocked grocery store directly across the street from the hotel. I would recommend getting water, snacks, etc there as it is much cheaper than buying most other places. I couldn't live without my Diet Coke and you could buy a 1.5 (as I recall) liter bottle for 2 euros. Otherwise, it's 2 or 2.5 euros for the 500 mL bottles everywhere else. It was hot so carrying a 1 liter bottle of water around in my pack was very wise as public fountains exist but are not as plentiful as in the U.S. The store has just about everything you need.

There are numerous restaurants within a 5-15 minute walk. The staff gave an excellent recommendation on several occasions. I really liked the area where the hotel was located. It was convenient and I never felt unsafe (although the crowd down around St. Lazare was interesting to say the least on Friday and Saturday nights after 10 PM).

Overall, a charming and delightful hotel which is excellent value for money. I would (and will) stay here again when I visit Paris again in the future.

Room Tip: I stayed in room 6. It did not have an especially good view. If you are returning late, please be cognizant of other travelers and try not to be noisy. It is an older building and noise travels easily. I had to visit an especially annoying American family who felt the need to constantly go in and out of their rooms and slam the doors. Very obnoxious.
